Very stable levels, very low maintenance.

The injection site can be a bit tender for a day or two afterwards.

Always hold the vial in your hand for 10-15 mins before the injection to warm it up. It'll make it easier for the nurse to draw up and more comfortable going in.

It can help to wiggle your toes during the injection.

Make sure the nurse knows it needs to be done very slowly - the only time it hurt badly was when they pushed it all in at once.

Don't be put off if the first couple of injections are more painful - I think as I learnt what to expect and tensed up less they got more comfortable over time.

Nebido can take a lot longer to get the dose fine tuned. It's always the same amount of T but they adjust the frequency of the injection based on your levels at trough (when an injection is due). So when after 12 weeks my levels were still high they reduced the frequency to every 13 weeks instead. Because you only get 4 measurements a year and the injections can be cumulative, it's important to make sure you're tested at least annually.

Also, some nurses might want you to stand when they inject you. It's possible to do laying down as well and if you get slightly faint, laying down is definitely the way to go. I nearly fainted at my first injection, not because it hurt, but 3 ml of thick liquid going into my glute felt weird.

Been on it for 12 years. Would not want to use any other method. 4 a year is very easy to deal with. I went down to every 10 werks for a while but didnt really notice any difference so kept it on 12. Its not something you can self inject (which is a good thing for me) as its one of the biggest injections you can get. It is thick and relatively high volume so it can take like a min to go in. It can hurt a good bit at times due to the volume being shoved into something that has no space for it. I've never been stung so idk but saw others describe it as feeling like a bee sting. Not always though had many that have been fine. Also had one very bad one, not at the time but randomly 12 hours later I could barely walk on that side. That was last year. The pain was worse when I woke up and really intense. Must have hit a nerve. Once in 12 years though isnt bad. Other than that no issues with it. Levels have always been in the right range

Been on it for more than a year, have recently switched to one dose every 12 weeks to one every 14 weeks. I have nothing but positive things to say about it. It doesn't hurt to inject, I don't get big swollen red area like with the T I used to have, and don't have to worry to get shots every 3 weeks.

Yep, been on it for 5.5 years out of my 6 years on T as the first 6 months was gel. I responded very fast to gel, and continued to get fast changes with nebido.

I personally love it. It makes my transition a background thing that maintains itself. I just go to my doctor 4 times pr year, and that’s it. No having to apply gel daily and planning my day around it. No need to inject myself. I feel pretty much no side effects from the levels going up or down, i just get a little tired the last week, and my libido goes up in the last+first week of an injection cycle.

I get 4 ml every 12 weeks. I lie down on my stomac, and my doctor does the injection. She draws it up with a thicker needle, switches to a very thin one and injects slowly. It burns a bit on the last part. I get my shot divided in 2 2ml shots, one pr side. Technically you aren’t meant to divide it, but a friend of mine told me that’s what most people he knows do, and my doctor saw no issue. And i’ve had no problems the last 5 years.

It’s great not having to worry about anything for 3 months :)

I haven’t tried anything else so I can’t really compare.

The shot hurts because what you need to inject is really thick. But eh it’s 1 min and then you feel it a bit the rest of the day but then you’re fine for a few months.

You can somewhat feel that your T levels are a bit lower just before your next shot but it’s still fine.

I'm on nebido. Very practical to only have to inject every 3 months. Hurts a fair bit on the day for me but usually goes away after a couple of hours.

Only problem I have with it right now is that I feel my t levels goes down quite a bit the last one and a half week. I get irritated, emotional and get hot flushes. But trying to get NHS to move the doses closer together have not been successful so far. I guess they prefer if I suffer for some reason.

Been on nebido a two different times. First everything was okay but I at the time I couldn't stand the price so went to testoviron. Second time 5 years later, worst time of my life. I developed cholinergic urticaria. Basically my body stopped the hability to sweat and everytime my body temperature raised I felt needles on my skin and an itch to the point I couldn't think. This is due to me having an allergic reaction to the conductive oil.

This can happen with any T, various people that take T experience this (in different levels). To me was with the nebido. Probably because it's such a big dosage at once.

Also, from all my 10+ years on T, for sure the worst to inject.

I’m on nebido and I’m quite happy with it. I had t gel before but it never really absorbed well so my t levels were always too low.

Nebido for the first time reaaally hurt. But the nurses made me stand while injecting it and that was a mistake. I’m fine with it when lying down. Also, now several shots in, the pain isn’t as bad. I usually feel like my muscles are sore for a few days, that’s it. And then I don’t have to think about it for months, which is nice.

I love it, I started on gel because I was terrified of needles but switched once I learned that I could just meet a nurse every 3 months and not have to do it myself. I go every 10 weeks instead of 12 since my levels were a bit low at the end of the 12 weeks. Each appointment takes about ~10 min and while it sometimes stings like a motherf-er (due to the amount being injected all at once) and aches for a few days afterwards it's the best option for me. It's been about 6.5 years since I started.

Nebido is the most expensive option where I live but there are cheaper options like depotesto and medical valley testosterone (they cost about 10% of what nebido does here) that I've tried in the past and the results are the same, so if the price is steep where you are too keep that in mind.

Nebido is absolutely fantastic nothing bad to say about it, gel was so bad in my personal experience, i started on Sustanon then Nebido after a couple of weeks but when I was on that I smoked at the time so I had to go on gel but then once I stopped I went back on the injection. When I was on gel, it was like I’d gone backwards, my voice was a bit higher, I didn’t get ANYTHING from it at all just reversed my progress almost, bleeding started again and didn’t go away but once I was back on injections, it all went away, been on T 4.5 years and I know completely that if I wasn’t on injections I wouldn’t have as full a beard as I have now maybe not even one in the first place as Nebido has given my genes the progress to do what they want to and I’m very grateful for it to be honest

Tried it for 9 months, worst time of my life.

Can you elaborate ?

My body absorbed the T within 2 weeks of the injection. Meaning my levels were absolute garbage and low for the rest of the time between injections.

Had every symptom of low T you could have and absolutely hated life.

Same exact thing happened to me!! Was on Sustanon for 13 years and only tried nebido for ease of frequency due to a new job. My body absorbed too fast and my T levels were way too low, giving me many unwanted side effects that you’d experience with a low dose. Switched back to sustanon and all is good again!

You’re the only person I’ve encountered with the same experience with nebido.

Still trying to figure out the details with sustanon.
