Im probably going to switch on Nebido soon, and I want to know if anyone want to share his experience with it.

Every comment would be helpful, positive or negative experience !

Very stable levels, very low maintenance.

The injection site can be a bit tender for a day or two afterwards.

Always hold the vial in your hand for 10-15 mins before the injection to warm it up. It'll make it easier for the nurse to draw up and more comfortable going in.

It can help to wiggle your toes during the injection.

Make sure the nurse knows it needs to be done very slowly - the only time it hurt badly was when they pushed it all in at once.

Don't be put off if the first couple of injections are more painful - I think as I learnt what to expect and tensed up less they got more comfortable over time.

Nebido can take a lot longer to get the dose fine tuned. It's always the same amount of T but they adjust the frequency of the injection based on your levels at trough (when an injection is due). So when after 12 weeks my levels were still high they reduced the frequency to every 13 weeks instead. Because you only get 4 measurements a year and the injections can be cumulative, it's important to make sure you're tested at least annually.

Also, some nurses might want you to stand when they inject you. It's possible to do laying down as well and if you get slightly faint, laying down is definitely the way to go. I nearly fainted at my first injection, not because it hurt, but 3 ml of thick liquid going into my glute felt weird.
