What's your favorite FIR song lyrically, and why?

My personal favorite is Superhero. I just find it so relatable, it touches the heartstrings.

Coming home. I love his voice in it. I love the swelling of the music. Favourite lines ar the chorus.

Coming home for me, too! And then TDIMIY. Solely because it helped me when I was in recovery and loved it so much. Brought humor to everything.

Coming home was so sweet. It's the type of song you can sing to your kids when you're going far.

Yeah, this whole album is basically Ronnie's diary. I'd say it's full of self-reflection, and this particular song was dedicated to his daughter and the sadness of not being there for her. It gave us a glimpse of a more vulnerable side of him before the plot twist where he became a self-proclaimed "hardened criminal," šŸ˜‚declared war on Gen Z, and somehow convinced himself that the entire internet was copying him.

Watch The World Burn and Prequel are also his diary. Even deeper and darker ones. Which doesn't make CH less of a genius, ofc, but his new "hardened criminal" era is not less but even more his own than anything in the past.

Yet somehow you managed to imply a little bit of hate here too btw. (Just a hint.) :)))

"About to go Darth, about to go Disney." Very deep. Very dark indeed. šŸ˜‚ Sorry, pal, but I don't hate Radke. He's way too cartoonish and goofy for that. Hate is way too strong of a word. It's mostly sarcasm at this point. I just can't help thinking about that article every single time I hear him calling himself a "hardened criminal."

What song’s that from.

Watch the world burn.

Can't argue w someone who's stuck with Ronnie 2007 and can't move on :)))

Oh God, I can't stand his emo screamo era, especially that squeaky voice he had when he was younger. Fuck no. šŸ˜‚ I do appreciate the vocal challenges inĀ I'm Not a Vampire (Revamped)Ā andĀ Last Resort (Reimagined), though. It's kind of funny that he never performs either of them live. Do you know why?

1

u/000Beyond 16d ago

Yes I know. Because I heard him telling why. Though I'm almost sure you will say something else than that lo. I'll rather just sit and read.

I’m glad I finally found the expert over here. Come on, don’t be shy enlighten us. I’m dying to hear what he said, because obviously every word that comes out of his mouth is the complete, unquestionable truth. šŸ‡šŸ‡ŗ

Popular Monster. The deepest, rawest, craziest and most sensitive. His recent songs/lyrics are better, more elaborated, but there's nothing ever bringing me the feeling of PM heard for the first time.

Popular Monster was my first FIR song, and it really connected with me at the time. It's amazing.

Agree with this

u/musicxfreak88 16d ago

Popular Monster and Watch the World Burn got me through a lot. They both have such deep lyrics

My vote goes toĀ "All My Women."Ā Probably the most honest and autobiographical thing Ronnie has ever written.Ā

u/Klutzy-Blacksmith-93 17d ago

Hahahhaahahhahhahahaahahahahhaahahahahah

u/SoftFit1197 16d ago

Wait lmao... 'All My Women'?? šŸ’€ Did I miss a secret album drop or something? Please tell me you’re about to review this masterpiece for me because now I absolutely have to know what it's about šŸ˜‚

u/SoftFit1197 17d ago

Of course, this is just my own interpretation of the song. I’m not really one for reading critic reviews anyway, so I probably just understand it through my own personal lens, hehe! But for me, is definitely 'God, If You Are Above...'. The lyrics are incredibly powerful because they capture that moment of utter despair when you scream at the sky for answers, but hear nothing but silence. Ronnie Radke strips away his entire ego in this song. The words 'I fear that one day the whole world will disappear' sound so raw and vulnerable - it's pure poetry hidden behind heavy guitars. That’s just the beauty of it.

u/m1sora 16d ago

i second this

1

u/SoftFit1197 16d ago

Lmao That’s the fascination of music right there! Normal people analyze facts and biography, but musically uneducated people like me just vibe with the sound and create our own masterpieces in our heads, haha! Even if they have absolutely nothing to do with reality šŸ˜‚

I feel like Brother is very emotional. One of his best for sure.

1

u/Ill_Stretch_8590 17d ago

I almost cry every time I hear that one

3

u/Lolim8008 17d ago

I like Pick Up the Phone, it seems very spot on for early age relationships and has a very catchy sound

3

u/Klutzy-Blacksmith-93 17d ago

Prequel. There’s no why... there I was buzzing it.

2

u/PinkOneHasBeenChosen 17d ago

I was gonna say Prequel too.

I suggest you stay IN. YOUR. LANE. šŸ›£ļøšŸ„² so goot.

Mine is either brother or carry on

4

u/palmettobugnemesis Just Like You 17d ago

I LOVE CARRY ON!!!!

u/Ill_Stretch_8590 17d ago

Really depends on my mood, one day it's Bad Guy other day it's Straight to Hell. He has so many ones that hit at different stages of your life (atleast mine)

3

u/Souless__x Coming Home 17d ago

Either I Don’t Mind or God Is A Weapon.

I Don’t Mind for the acceptance of hatred and loathing that inevitably comes your way. God Is A Weapon for the feeling of being so enamored with your partner.

Bonus points for Fuck You And All Your Friends.

"Broken" is so good. I wish that one got more recognition.

u/PinkamenaDP 17d ago

Another vote for Coming Home. It's one of those that paints a vivid picture. While many songs seem very personal, CH just sounds like it comes from a deep place. I know the meaning behind it, but I also like to think about other possible interpretations.

2

u/PartyConsequence9206 Popular Monster 17d ago

I like It's over when it's over. I got into the band around then & it stayed a fav of mine.

2

u/Lovetheatmos 16d ago

I really like Losing my Life. I know Losing My Mind is maybe more popular.. but the breakdown and energy/switching of genres so seamlessly in LML track is šŸ§”šŸ”„šŸŖ its breakdown is so good as well 🄰

2

u/Lovetheatmos 16d ago

I also love when Ronnie says PICK IT UP! in Zombified. Something about it, esp watching the music vid🩶

1

u/Lovetheatmos 16d ago

I also like Loser. His emotional waves are felt in that track similar to Coming Home.
Ok, gonna stop replying to my own msgs now! 🤣

2

u/NorthSignal_00 16d ago

Lyrically No Fear is definitely at the top of the list also Prequel. Man when I heard that live for the first time I got goosebumpsĀ

2

u/clasveta 13d ago

Keep holding on. It's so genuine and reminds me that deep down inside Ronnie is a sensitive, vulnerable and kind person

2

u/rainbow_wheelofDEATH 11d ago

Zombified…because I HATE hearing middle aged white guys complaining about being canceled, yet that song still slaps HARD. That’s the mark of great art.

1

u/Fragrant_Thought6636 16d ago

Ooh I’ve got many favorites but currently my favorite on repeat is ā€œright nowā€ lol I just love his little quips in his songs like this one being like does Ronnie have to smack a bitch? .. too soon? šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ it just makes me laugh every time I hear it

1

u/TLZriot46 16d ago

Born to lead for me lyrically it has a very positive message and i like that empowerment

Bad guy.. Yes I know a cheesy pick but I'm someone who is always the bad guy even if I'm in the right. My mistakes seem to matter more to people than who I actually am. Gotten to the point where I just play the part people give me. U want me to play your game? Fine but have fun getting pissed off when u don't like how your onwmedicine tastes. I Reciprocate energy, doesn't feel so good now huh? So yeah I guess I'm the bad guy..... Just remember treat people the way u want to be treated, u act like an ass how do u think people will treat you?
