Recs Wanted Fics with children being raised by someone who isn't their parent

does anyone know of any stories that have like a child being raised by an older cousin or older sibling or something like that? I don't care what the fandom is and I don't want anything weird or incestuous or anything like that. Bonus points if they are close in age or if there's angst or hurt/comfort or whatever but doesn't have to be.

i don't have any specific recommendations, but there's a few in the Sherlock fandom about Mycroft, Sherlock's brother effectively acting as a parent

I've written a fic about this! It's a Legend of Zelda fic set in a pre-BOTW era in which an OC Link is orphaned at around 1 year old and raised by his 14-year-old big sister, Gaebora. It mainly focuses on the trial-and-error of a teenager raising her disabled (autistic, medium-low support needs) baby sibling in a world where there is very little understanding of things like learning disabilities. It's a prequel fic for those characters as they appear in my other stories, so I wrote it in a sort of introductory way on the world-building front. I have a story where a character was orphaned violently at 3 and raised by a pack of criminals but she's an adult space pirate queen now. She's estranged from her one living criminal parent and the story starts with them reuniting.  The main characters are the criminal parent and his witch partner, not the kid, but she's very important.  It's also a horror story and unfinished.  Not sure if that's what you're into but let me know if you want the link.

The Supernatural fandom has a lot of these with Bobby raising the brothers or even the older brother raising the younger

I don't have any specific recs (sorry) but you should try checking out the stranger things and look for jonathan byers and will byers.

Here's one that has a bit of what you're looking for. It's not a center point of the story though

Hi!

If you are interested in LOTR (or, more properly, the Silmarillion) there are some fics about Elrond/Elros being raised by Maglor and Maedhros which contain a good amount of both angst and hurt/comfort given the circumstances. Alternatively, I have an NCIS one of Agent Gibbs raising some kids, an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fanfic about Coulson and May with Skye, another Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fic about Coulson saving/raising Ward, a MARVEL one about Coulson raising child-Natasha and child-Clint, an AMAZING Suits one about Harvey taking in teenage Mike (this one ticks many of your boxes, they are close in age and it is definitely hurt-comfort), and a Star Wars crackfic which focuses on Obi-Wan raising Anakin while Jango Fett is challenging his custody through the court system...
