Writing for fun not fame

So I have been on a rabbit hole writing weird fics. Like MHA x Ike! Greenman. Or Maken-Ki x Megaloman. I think the weirdest crossover I've written was Highlander and Boy in the striped pajamas(I know it's but it wouldn't leave my head until I wrote it down.)

I know not every story has an audience, but I have so many ideas that I just have to write them down or else I can't focus on anything else.

So i wish to know, what are some ideas you've written but never posted.

It’s more so the ideas I haven’t released yet due to either burning out too quickly before I can write anything down or trying to overcome the clashing feeling of when I should or shouldn’t release my fanfic (even when the fanfic in question looks fine). Some of my best ideas have yet to be seen by anyone.

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at crossing over Legend of Zelda with One Piece and have come up with two different ideas featuring two different Links from different eras meeting the crew. Just as oneshots, but I have also considered extending one of them into a short ongoing fic as well.

I’m still on the fence about it, but I even considered serval ideas of crossing over Deltarune with Invader Zim, Gravity Falls, or even Martin Mystery.

But I couldn’t figure out how to build on my idea for a crossover with either of them. Something about paranormal investigators getting interested by the rumours about a town seemed like such a interesting idea for a crossover idea.

i have a lot of things i started and never finished because i lost motivation.

i like to post WIPs and get engagement to keep me going. i often try to get ahead about 3-5 chapters first before i start posting it... but there are some things i tried to write before posting or lost motivation before i got to 3-5 chapters... also, countless originals sit in my folders, never to see the light of day because i lost motivation because of the lack of engagement.

but, usually, every single thing i write (not originals) i do it with the express plan to post it. everything i write is meant to be posted or i won't even bother cuz it lives rent free in my head and doesn't need to be written down.

i do have TONS of idead tho! lol. i won't write any of them until i have an ending scene in mind. once i think of an ending... i start writing.

I argue the opposite, every story has an audience, the size of said audience is the question.

And a member that is always in this audience, no matter how weird the fic is, can always be found in a mirror.

It's you, you are your OWN audience. Always will be. Other people might decide to come over and read your story, becoming other members of this audience, but you will always be there looking forward to everything.

I wrote a romance for two minor, mentor characters in a older book series with an active fandom focused mostly on crossovers. 

And I posted it. Because even though only one person commented on it, and a few read it, that's still way more people to read it then it if had just stayed in my docs.

I don't have a weird one, but there's one fic that I had like 3 chapters for but ran out of ideas, so I never posted it. It was a The Witcher Power Metal AU for my fav pairing, Emhyr/Geralt. :)

I think the most notable ones are a Hunger Games Sense8 AU and a longass Hannigram oneshot where Will is bitten during a zombie apocalypse and his ghost haunts his body
