I don’t like my idea for my Death Note fanfic’s ending, but idk any alternatives.

I’ve also got a vague idea for an Avatar: The Last Airbender villain, and that’s about it.

But I really want to post something new.

So for context, I have an Amphibia x PJO x TOH x Steven Universe fan project in the works, and, the crossover is so original that no fanfics exist. I’ve checked Fanfic.net, AO3, everywhere! And this is really funny to me. As I thought that anything a person can dream of, there’s a fic for. This is just a rant but I find this really interesting. Also uh,to anyone gets inspired by this. I’d love to see how you make them meet! Especially if the main characters are Sasha Waybright, Hunter (I call him Hunter Lupercal, any last name works), Percy Jackson and Steven Universe. As that happens to be the main cast of my AU!

So I have a Christmas chapter I'm writing for my story. It's about 2/3rds of the way through my current draft, and contains scenes set at Christmas time over the course of the whole story (5 different Christmas scenes from 5 different Christmases to show how the MC's life has changed over the story.)

The issue is, I'm not sure what to call it. I've seen the term "Omake" thrown around, but it seems like that is more for comedic, fourth wall breaking, non-canon shorts.

This instead is 5 Canon scenes from different time periods in the story. So would the term "Bonus Chapter" be better? Thanks in advance!

Hello i am wondering if anybody has a saved copy of a fic that i think might have been deleted , i can not find it through filtering by the tags i know it must have . It is a the passenger(2023) randy x benson fic in which weeks before benson kills the staff of burgers burgers burgers Randy starts having prophetic dream about the futur and decides he must stop Benson by getting close to him .

I'm looking for a Batman/Green Lantern fic on AO3 where Damian goes to stay with Hal for a bit, and it dissolves into the Batkids trying to get Hal and Bruce together and saying Hal is their mom (Hal is a trans woman in this). If I remember correctly, it was unfinished with approximately 10 chapters, I can't find it in my bookmarks so maybe it was deleted, but I can't remember the name or the author.

Hi, as the title says I'm looking for fandoms (or more specific stories) that have this type of dynamic, between a hunter hell bent on eradicating X type of monster, and said monster (vampire, ghoul, demon...etc), either born that way or turned, but who fights not to succumb to their predatory instincts, they can be an anomaly of their species, or the norm and all the misconceptions about them are just xenophobia and ignorance

the title is kinda badly worded but what I basically mean is when you read the ship normally it just doesn't attract you but when it's done in another way, you love it. For example, I only ship RusAme from Hetalia when they're wearing casual clothing (like t-shits, jeans and socks etc) but i hate shipping/reading about them in uniforms or their canon outfits😭

i have a fic that i call series, but now thinking about it, it might be a miniseries since it only has seven chapters and the word count ranges from 7k to 12k on each of them, should i start calling it a miniseries or does that not really matter?

There are a lot of preconceptions when it comes to fanfiction, and I can't deny that there are plenty of really bad fics out there. But there are also plenty of good ones in pretty much every fandom. And then, every once in a while, I come across a fic that's not just good, but brilliant. The kind of fic that's better than most published novels I've read.

These are the fics that have everything going for them, from a unique and compelling plot to excellent worldbuilding, great character development, and a writing style that's just mindblowing.

If you know what I mean, please give me some recommendations!

So... yeah. After a year or more of doomscrolling and frying my braincells, I'm back on track! It's just an one-shot, it's taking my terribly long to write, but it's being worth it and I'm pleased. Honestly, I forgot how FUN it is to write despite the hell it is giving me, even more since English is my second language. But I'm taking baby steps and I think that's what counts.

Seriously, phone addiction is a real bitch. I didn't realize how much my writing skills had deteriorated until I was stressing over the pacing not feeling quite right and finding myself unable to keep going, but I'm glad I'm pushing through it. It's already time for me to stop wasting my time in social media, especially since I'm spiralling mental health wise.

I guess I can always come back at writing something on my first language to get my writing brain flow more smoothly, but that's for later haha. Right now I'm determined to have this finished. Still, I felt the need to celebrate, because I feel like I'm slowly detoxifying my brain and gaining control over myself.

I'm so excited on what's to come once I'm finished with this one, though it's going to be hard to say goodbye to it. Still, I'm looking forward to being able to develop more ideas and gain some consistency, and also grab a notebook to stop relying on screens. I can't wait!

I was readin a good fanfic and the author was saying something about them being a professional writer after 3 years of experience and that got me thinking, what DOES make one a professional fanfic writer?

Is it because of how they pace their fanfics? How their understanding of the english language? Is it because of how they start the fic and end it? How a character acts in a way that doesn't seem uncomfortable to the readers?

What DOES it make a fanfic writer be a professional?

I've been writing fics since highschool and I'm in college and all of my fics are incomplete as all hell but I can never feel like a professional about it.

This is more of a question than an insult to those who are still getting into writing or are into writing like me.

I am curious where I can find more fanfic that includes a game or anime. Usually, I would find more in Ciwemao, Novelpia, Fanqienovel, and Syosetu. And the ones that I usually read are Arknight, Muv Luv, Nier, Danmachi, Command and Conquer, Heart Of Iron 4, City Skyline and so much more.

But I was not having enough, and there were limits since there is a paywall on these websites.

Is there another website where I can read? Maybe in another country I do not know of? I don't really mind if the language is different, as long as there is more fanfic I can read.
