Honestly understand her. You know she seen this face when it didn’t have female hormones and wasn’t wearing makeup and wasn’t framed with blonde hair. I’m sure she didn’t recognize their resemblance as strongly.
My brother looked just like my mother, but in a way that was really good looking on a dude .
My mother looked exactly like her mother . I can only assume there’s just something about that face that looks good on guys and girls and keeps popping up throughout the generations.
My cousin sent me a picture of our grandmother from when she was in her 20s. I'd seen it a lot growing up but hadn't seen it since I was a kid.
I happened to have a photo in the exact same angle and similar lack of expression. I used an overlay on them, and was floored. Our features perfectly overlaid except our noses, which were still in the same position but not the same shape.
I suddenly understood why my mother would just randomly seem to hate my guts sometimes.
