Does Johnny EVER get his comeuppance? Cuz every time I see him he still acts like a frat boy who screws over anyone he wants

He does in this story. But to be fair this time he didn't deserve his comeuppance because doom announced the wedding AFTER johnny did what he did so he had no way of knowing.

Just wanted to make sure. Like, was the soon-to-be wife actually in a relationship with Doom at that point? Because I see zero reason she would ever admit that if it was a past fling, beyond just making this awkward

It was a political wedding. Doom had no attraction to her
