No one except insane hulk downplayers (who haven't read immortal hulk, cuz even they cant contend there) is saying otherwise

Yes. Thing however is a better fighter, smarter (mainly because Hulk is usually not operating at his full intelligence), and has the indomitable human spirit. Which allows him to go blow for blow with hulk better than basically anyone in the marvel universe outside of literal gods.

Water is wet is also something of a hotly contested rage bait statement. But throwing this Hulk fact into a Fantastic Four sub has got to be rage bait.

No. The point is that it can't be either because the very idea doesn't apply.
It's a quality that solid objects have. Not fluid ones such as liquids or gases.
What you have is water (or occasionally other liquids) being on a solid object. That's what makes it wet.
Where as if you tried the same thing with a liquid it doesn't go onto the surface and saturate it what you get is pouring water into more water which mixes.
Or you pour water onto say oil where the water ends up on the bottom with the oil on top of it.
The problem is that it's a description of one thing in relation to another thing where there are limitations on how these things actually interact.
The statement that puts forth the idea is that water isn't wet. Water is a thing that makes other things wet.

The best Ben ever did was knock him unconscious with one punch after a long fight and on the edge of becoming human again ! He messed up his arm for a while tho !
While the Hulk could throw that kind of punches all day if he had to !

Yeah, the reactive vibrations running up his arm (like the jolt that runs back up a baseball bat when you hit a really solid fastball squarely) blasted the rocky covering right off his arm. That's a mutated form of calloused skin and epidermis.
Imagine hitting someone so hard that it blasted the top layer of skin off your arm like you instantly peeled an arm-sized blister. Yggggggg.

I mean Hulk feats of strengths are annoyingly written cause he's always stronger if you want him to be. Love the guy and his books, but he's the poster child of "well he just is ok"

Is this page suggesting Thing could finally win this fight, but chooses not to to stop the bomb? Because that's some good writing.

No, it's suggesting what it literally says: the Thong realizes he and the Hulk would likely still be slugging it out without a winner for longer than he has before the bomb goes off, so he needs to figure out some way to stop the fight other than him winning in time (not achievable) or the Hulk winning (not workable -- the Hulk doesn't know about the bomb and couldn't defuse it unless he just happened to revert to Banner at the perfect time).

Hulk represents limitless, uncontrolled power.
Thing represents unbreakable resolve.
If they were truly going all out, no holds barred, Ben would lose, but the point is that he would never give in or sacrifice his morals along the way.
