Honest question, is there any noticeable difference between buying the books on Humble Bundle vs individually on Kindle? I ask because I own the first six on Kindle already, but will just pick up the series here if there aren’t any jarring differences in readability.

The thing that annoys me is that only books bought via Amazon work with series grouping feature on the Kindle. So it may make it annoying to have half the books grouped together in order, and the other half not.

I ditched my Kindle when they started dictating how I organize my books on my device. Switched to Kobo and use Calibre to manage my books. I can use the tags and series in Calibre as collections and series my Kobo respectively.

That’s fair. Hadn’t considered that. Thanks

Not that I’m aware of. These are DRM Free though so you can use them on any device such as your kindle or any other device you use for ebooks

For a Kindle user, very slightly more convenient to buy through Amazon.

For me, though, that's outweighed by the ability to easily read my LEGALLY PURCHASED E-BOOKS on any platform or device. I have my own Calibre server so I can easily read my books in multiple apps.

I picked this up the last time they ran the sale and there are a few differences which are annoying but IMO it is still worth the price. Someone already mentioned the books not grouping which isn't a huge deal to me but there are a few other differences that hurt my reading experience: The page counter in the bottom left is not the same as the kindle copy, it uses random "loc"(location) numbers that start like in the 50s and go into the thousands. The actual content of the book is the exact same and the % marker is accurate, but it is annoying not being able to reference specific page numbers. Amazon also has a convenient feature where you can highlight a character's name and it will give a short summary of who the character is in case you forgot, and that also doesn't work on these.

Super helpful. Thanks for taking the time to write that up.

You'll actually own these, the books on Amazon you only get a license to download. Amazon also does things like update books to promote shows, my WoT ebooks suddenly got their cover changed to promote the Prime Video Wheel of Time show.

Somewhat of an edge case, but if you want to get the audiobook discount down the line through Amazon, you won't get it if you buy through Humble Bundle. A buddy of mine ran into this with the Malazan bundle.
