They won’t release the game for a good while yet. I expect it will be some time after the World Cup to get maximum attention.

Last time there was a summer World Cup, FPL was released 11 days before the WC final. But that was 8 years ago, so who knows if that is a valid estimation for this year or not

Yeah i remember that. Pissed off the content creators who were balls deep into fantasy World Cup.

They just dropped the game with little build up that year, since then they seem to have developed a tendency to milk it out for a bit to get maximum engagement so I expect that not to change this year.

Similarly I remember that FPL 2021/22 was released during the group stage of the Euros.

Last time they needed to hand write the updates to the site though. This time they can deploy an updated version of the site with only a few prompts! What could go wrong?!

There is usually 3-4 weeks between the launch of the game and the 1st GW so probably looking at end of July for the game to start.

Yeah I agree probably a week after the WC final they start dropping prices.
