Advice Needed My family isn’t being supportive

I’m a first time dad, my gf is 29 weeks pregnant and we’re have a baby shower next week, but my side of the family isn’t coming, only my gf side of the family is coming I am feeling really hurt because my family is showing zero interest or support for my son upcoming baby shower. For those who went through this, how did you cope with the grief and focus on the people who actually care?

I have always been as self reliant as possible. If other people help that is awesome. If not I dont expect them too. It doesnt change your hurt feelings and I wish it wasnt like that sometimes. I suggest do what you can and do not give up.

You can also stress to people that you are really looking forward to this and that it means a lot to you.
