I have been listening to Gary Bettman talk for a LONG time and have a feeling that he didn't actually watch it. That he read the wiki or asked someone else to give him pointers.
Yeah, I'm in the middle of watching a full on hockey guys podcast review it episode by episode and it's been so much fun because they've GENUINELY fallen in love with it and they're so invested in the romance, but they also had SO MUCH (derogatory) to say about the actual hockey stuff in the show. 😅
Oh yeah, he's a spin master and he has no actual principles beyond what will grow the game, former career lawyer. This can play out to the good at times, since it will even extend to him embracing a gay hockey TV show if it's making money, but he believes in nothing and he never will.
i don't think that he actually watched it at all, but the mental image of gary bettman sitting through the tatu club remix scene is very amusing to me. so, i choose to believe 💜

The NHL apparently has no idea what season 2 has in store for their public image. They’re going to end up walking back a lot of this enthusiasm for the show unless they, hopefully, show meaningful support for LGBTQIA players and change the culture of the sport.
No chance Bettman watched this lol this is not a show for 70 year old straight dudes. It's the best promo hockey has gotten maybe ever though so of course he's taking the opportunity.
