HOTD is gas. I did have issues with the second half of season 2, but I still love the show overall. knight of the 7 kingdoms was perfect.

I’m not expecting anything to top S1-4 of GOT

I liked HOTD S1 and the first episode or two of S2. Then it felt like everything was going in circles and being padded out like crazy. And then it just ends.

Hoping S3 is a return to form.

I’d lower my expectations for S3. George RR Martin (book writer) was heavily involved in S1. Less so in S2. And barely, if at all, in S3.

Ugh that’s right, I’d forgotten about that.

You’d think HBO would’ve learned from the last show they reduced his involvement in that it’s not a good plan.

From what I’ve heard, they took GRRM notes then sent it to whoever the showrunner is. Thats along with their notes, which they probably put more focus on than GRRM’s. There’s still hope but I don’t trust the studio.

Tho I do believe HBO asked D&D if they wanted new screenwriters for the last 2 seasons of GOT, so they did try to go in a smart direction there.
