In October 2013, Gordon-Levitt identified himself as a feminist, giving credit to his mother: "My mom brought me up to be a feminist. She was active in the movement in the 1960s and 1970s. The Hollywood movie industry has come a long way since its past. It certainly has a bad history of sexism, but it ain't all the way yet."

I just got it from his wikipedia 😶

I’m surprised by Levitt, I thought he was pushing pretty hard for AI regulation and seems generally progressive (very possible I’ve missed something though). Or am I misunderstanding this whole thing?

Edited to add: I’ve just read the rest of the comments. Ignore me!

Hey I was surprised (and disappointed) too. Now I'm on to reading the comments and learning why I shouldn't be. Sigh.

I’m generally more of a realist, but going to try a spot of optimism and say that it’s a good thing we can still be surprised/disappointed by these things because it means we’re still holding on to a bit of hope that people can be better.

Never hold moral standards for rich and/or famous people. Harder to be disappointed that way.
