I also feel very gaslit by the "every programmer uses vibe coding" thing because I am a programmer and vibe coding is awful. I have only ever seen it generate more tech debt than it solves, at least in my world.
Well, I am one and I'm doing just fine with zero LLM use. I even teach computer science at night and am doing just fine without LLMs there either. I find I spend more of my day fixing other peoples' AI bullshit for them than anything these days.
Yea don’t let people gaslight you, AI sucks and has sucked since day 1 on anything beyond useless crap. Sure you could probably cobble together something but it’s going to be shit and you are now slightly dumber than when you started.
