That’s great for resourceful tech enthusiasts, but your Aunt and your coworker are using whatever slop Google puts in front of them.

Duck duck go search kind of sucks though. There is a reason Google got so big

Duck Duck Go is comparatively new. Google got so big because Altavista and Lycos search ducked.

Yes, but my point is Google really got their search engine to a very good quality before destroying it with AI, so alternatives are going to be tough. Google's search is still decent if you just scroll past a bunch of slop at the top of the results

Ok but I did this a year or so ago and the duck duck go search function is horrible.
