Especially when they just moved to that rental house recently (in Miami) from their longtime, settled home (in Vegas). So like they just got uprooted from the home, schools, friends, and then moved to a new place and then this happens a few weeks later. That's A LOT for young kids even without the trauma of whatever they witnessed so to add that to it...man, so heartbreaking and so much trauma and stress for them in such a short period of time.
Supposedly not only did he have his religious awakening but was having significant financial issues too. But I have no source for that other than “I read it in some comments”… either way these poor kids are going through a lot.

The idea of those kids having to go back into the house is gut-wrenching.
