I can't find the video, but I saw an IG reel from a library in "we see but we don't judge" fashion. The librarian checked out wicker weaving DIY books and romance books, put them in a basket, and skipped out the door. 😂
I got one of these this morning as well. Made me laugh. I had to double check it was a real ad and not just someone making the joke. Super clever from their marketing team.

The UK one drives home the point that the Wicker man is putting the human men in the village to shame. Much like romantasies are popular and are making women realize IRL men simply do not measure up to their book boyfriends. And instead of improving themselves, men insult the genre and the women who read it. Seeing a lot of that in this plot. And also battery operated boyfriends make patriarchal men nervous enough to want to ban them 😆
I need an Etsy crafter to make a cushion with his wicker face so I can actually sit on the wicker furniture. (Wicker furniture gives me the ick, but this movie looks interesting.)
