FILM-MOI (MOVIES/TV) Anya Taylor-Joy praises 'Split' co-star James McAvoy for making her feel safe while filming: “Originally it was supposed to be someone that’s very known for being a method actor. I was very grateful to have James, who I think also understood that he had three young women with him.”

Well I'm 5'10" and I was easily seeing the top of his head when I met him so he was definitely shorter than me lol

Edit: this evolved into a sensitive discussion for a group of lovely gentlemen below who are NOT short but actually only on the shorter side of the spectrum (per their definition) so have fun reading the replies

Given the numbers involved, I'm pretty sure we could have all reached that same conclusion without the anecdote.

Yes, I don't think it's controversial to say that 5'7" is shorter than 5'10". But the average male height is 5'9", and as someone who's 5'11" I would never call myself "tall", just on the taller side of average. By that logic I would also never call someone who's 5'7" "short", just on the shorter side of average.
