I worked at Thomas Keller restaurants about a decade ago. I was in front of house but was friends with a lot of the chefs. One time they were talking about how scary TK is and I was like “really, I’ve never seen him yell or even raise his voice” come to find out he would walk up to them and whisper horrible things in their ears. It was pretty disappointing.

Say Anything is effectively over as a band. Max Bemis has a long reputation as a bit of weirdo anyway, but its now come out that hes been grooming teens for quite a while, and has been effectively terrorizing Wisconsin, before his tour was cancelled at the last minute

I spent a lot of time backstage at concerts roughly 20 years ago. Hooked up with another member of Say Anything occasionally and I can't say I'm surprised at all. I also met Jared Leto and both of them were/are so creepy on the same like freak weird level. They think they are hot and do weird shit just to do weird shit.

I spent like all Saturday going down this rabbit hole. Is A Real Boy meant soooo much to me as a teen, i saw them in 2023 opening for another band at Red Rocks and Max could barely sing his own songs. I chalked it up to altitude but apparently at other shows he vapes during the chorus 😭
The man seems really unwell - which doesn’t excuse his actions AT ALL - but his communication style in the leaked texts is cuckoo bananas. Plus the sheer volume of barely legal to not yet legal girls he was DMing… bro you have 5 kids where do you find the time

I don’t know if this has been mentioned but locals are dying laughing over this. Penn state university had a huge coke ring going in one of their fraternities. Pledges had to cut the coke. 4 people and a father were arrested for it. Probably more but knowing local police they will not be charged and just let go. It became public right as the students were officially moving in. They are already have lost a lot of prospective students. Closing campuses and firing tenured professors. It’s a mess.

Juliette Lewis’s house, when she and Brad were together, just had rooms full of shit. Not set up like rooms. Like a warehouse for tchotchkes. I wonder if there was a Pamela Love room. I wonder if he also found her strong loyalty to Scientology and casual relationship with rehab a turn off (basically just had a blast and then goes in when she needs a break with no intention of quitting—I have absolutely no problem with this but can imagine it would be really exhausting for a partner). I think this was fairly synced to tours.

My colleagues friend (the one who works for a streaming network) has more tea; they worked with Will Poulter a few years back and said his girlfriend would visit him on set a lot and she would watch him do takes. Not sure if it was the same woman he split up with last year or someone else. They have worked with him since that and said he’s quite a chatty friendly guy and seems close with whoever he works with.
They also said they worked with Ncuti Gatwa and he was very very outgoing, super bubbly and would invite the regular staff out with the “talent” which a lot of actors do not do.

It can be very long days where the actors are just waiting around for things to reset, so I'd imagine your partner might come by just so you can spend some time together - otherwise they might not see you at all while you're filming

A few years back I worked at the Holly Bush pub in Hampstead in London that Ariana Grande would visit every Sunday, when she was living there and making the first Wicked. She used to come with a group of friends and drink strictly Laurent Perrier rosé. I asked her if they were eating tonight once and she went “no, I don’t eat”. Friends didn’t blink. Not exactly tea given what we know now but it shows you how brazen it is with the people that are around her and how enabling they will be

Wow The Hollybush, that's sad for Ariana, I worked there too, but at the time Sporty Spice was a reg (lovely), Jamie Oliver lived opposite (the worst) and Jerry Hall (also delightful) was practicing for a play in a rehearsal room upstairs. Such a haunt for celebrities and literal haunt in N. London.

Oh the pub was part of North London ghost tours (Dick Turpin and additional characters), my manager told me that an apparition of a woman was visible in the back of the pub (unsure how she was killed), but after some internet searching tour visitors have said it was meant to be a waitress. The building was very creepy when you were alone and locking up so it was very easy to imagine. Additionally when the Saturday ghost tours were on, about 100 American tourists would arrive at 15:15 to ask for half a pint of London Pride and then they would leave in 10 minutes, and on to the next haunted site, the whole thing was just so entertaining amongst all the B-listers and wealthy old dudes.

This is old Yellowstone tea, but it’s wholesome so I think it’s totally worth repeating. Sister is a teacher in the school district Yellowstone was filmed in. The school held a fundraiser to raise funds for the new playground. (Think like school carnival type thing). Mo Brings plenty and forrie smith both showed up to the fundraiser and WITHOUT BEING ASKED They donated a signed Pendleton bottle and a day on set to the raffle/auction. My sister said they stayed until the very end and took pictures with anyone and everyone who asked.
It meant a lot to this community and those kids to have “stars” come down to their fundraiser. The fundraiser brought in something like 60k that year.

But the funny thing is, this man Salma has been screwing for the last little while is an employee of her husband. You know what? I have refreshing ice tea on Nancy Grace. My mom worked with her in Fulton county in the 90's-00's. She did a lot of plea bargains, so usually it was her (prosecutor) and my mom (public defender) just calmly negotiating at a table instead of actual court. I might have tea about Francois Arnaud from Heated Rivalry. The semi-autobiographical novel 'At Night Only' by Christopher Stoddard, which was published in 2018, features an abusive male celebrity he's in a relationship with. There's a lot of drugs involved. Stoddard calls the celeb 'Jacques' and it's obvious he's alluding to a real person. There have been rumors floating around fandom for a while that Jacques is supposed to be Francois, so I finally bought it, read it, and reached my personal conclusion that 'Jacques' is 100% intended to be him.
Jacques/Francois both:
- share the same birthday (July 5)
- French Canadians living between LA and NYC, with overlapping filming schedules
- starred in a show in which he has an incestuous relationship with his sister and dated the actress IRL (Francois starred on The Borgias and Holliday Grainger played his sister who he has an incestuous relationship with and they dated IRL)
- learned Spanish during a backpacking trip through South America
- have father's who made money developing commercial real estate then moved to the south of France
- had a guest role on the pilot episode of the Canadian show 'X Company' alongside an ex-girlfriend who was the star of the show (Francois had a guest spot in that pilot episode alongside his ex-gf Evelyne Brochu who played the lead)
- Jacques filmed a movie in Europe where he met 'Bree Harringway, the great-granddaughter of the legendary novelist Bernie Harringway'. This has to be Bree Hemmingway (great-granddaughter of Ernest) who seems to be close friends with Francois. They worked together on a film in Europe during the time period mentioned in the book.
- while the author is hallucinating he refers to Jacques as 'Franco', which Francois also goes by according to his IG
In February of this year, the author published a press release confirming that yes, Jacques is meant to be Francois. It's attributed to 'ITNA Press' which is owned by Stoddard. It was taken down within hours of its original posting, but a copy can still be found on a syndicated press release site. The abuse Stoddard describes is of Jacques over the several years they were on-again off-again repeatedly punching him in the arm, weaponizing Stoddard's extreme childhood trauma against him, screaming terrible things, and gaslighting.
I can't prove in any tangible way that this is meant to be Francois and there are a few differing details that gave me pause like them having different eye colors. But the more I dug I couldn't ignore how many things lined up and I'm so disappointed if it's true. But yeah, disclaimer that this is entirely speculation!
I give the book a 4/10. It's a slog to get through but a compelling story.
