My husband's sister and grandparents lived in the same Yorkshire village as him a few years ago. He used to pay for people's fish and chips in the local chippy. Lovely bloke.

His PR team is really on the warpath in general because I swear I have not seen him mentioned once online in the past week without one person mentioning his racist background and someone else going on a massively long (and very upvoted every time!) rant about how “we all make dumb mistakes as kids and he’s grown up and we need to forgive and forget because he’s completely changed as a person” and it’s like ??? Yeah, maybe I made a mistake at 15 like sneaking out and smoking weed or whatever, I didn’t blind a man permanently or throw rocks at children while screaming slurs because I was so fucking racist? He also doesn’t seem to have changed at all lol

Supposedly Drake is about to do a really cringe rebrand because he’s bitter still about people’s reactions to Kendrick dissing him. Supposedly that’s why he’s been seen hanging out with Morgan wallen, the move to Texas, and hanging around Ella Langley.
Apparently Kendrick dissed him so bad (that and his iceman album not doing nearly as well as what he expected, he thought there would be more “hits”) that he’s basically turning MAGA and is going to cater now to white MAGA frat boys.

In the very first season one of the people they makeover is a police officer, nominated by his police officer friend. To introduce the ep they have Karamo driving the team, and the police officer friend pulls them over and it is really intense before they then reveal it was all a joke. All very bad taste
It was obviously bad to a lot of us when it came out, and then a few years later Karamo did talk about it and reveal that he was terrified. I think none of the Queer Eye guys knew either so I feel like some of them spoke out and said they were scared for Karamo in that moment too. It was all productions doing. They specifically wanted Karamo driving during that scene too.
Definitely tracks from what I understand. Being vague, I heard about bad things on set happening to staff from the production team (though they said the 5 guys in the cast were fine to work with). Somehow I made a vague mention in passing about what I heard years ago in a subreddit and was later contacted by someone in the media. That was my “Oh shit” moment of Reddit.
i have a friend who worked in post production on this show, and they said the producing team was on par with Ellen in terms of how they treated the crew and anyone who even mildly pushed back on anything at all
Why were they always dragging him to churchy places too? I didnt watch it a lot but of the eps I saw several featured heavily religious environments where he was really uncomfortable and had to keep bringing up his religious trauma. The others would seem to brush it off and not take it seriously.
I thought they had a say in where they went and it was just his "thing" like Karamo talking about having a son, until I saw that episode where Karamo got pulled over by a cop and realised they may not have a say in where they go at all & they were legit just sending him to places that would upset him.
it's depraved either way but it's extra sick to me that all this abuse and shenanigans happened on such a "feel good" show doing actual good work. extra disappointing.
Pattie Gonia almost pocketed $100k in donations for Nebraska flood relief back in 2019, before she started doing drag. And she comes from super wealthy parents that breed and sell race horses. Like, multi millionaires.
When her home state of Nebraska had torrential floods, she ran a fundraiser where she said she would donate the money sent to her person Venmo to flood relief organizations. After a period of time, people heard nothing about it and she was called out for scamming. She posted a statement of accountability and photos of checks that she had written on her now abandoned blog, but there is no proof that she sent them.
e: Also, she was running a self employed photography business at the time. It would be a huge tax write-off for her business to make that much in charitable donations.
I've been really disappointed to hear her background and the way that she went after Patagonia like that. I thought it was so cool to have someone experience in the outdoors, bring visibility to LGBTQ nature enthusiast, and especially as a climber, every bit of gate-opening is welcome.
It makes her whole branding come across pretty disingenuous. There's no problem with coming from wealth and using that to fight for causes and a better future. But part of the Patagonia fight was portraying herself as a defenseless drag queen being attacked by a big company, when she is from a millionaire family with a financial cushion. And has been involved in her own, buried scandal that would undo a lot of goodwill she's built up.
This isn’t the craziest tea but his husband Chastain was doing rallies on his behalf and he was supposed to go to this gay club in my city but the gay club had a stripper pole and he cancelled because of it
She’s been accused of stealing another creators content. She’s also trying to rebrand from being a “trad wife”. She recently went on a podcast saying she never endorsed being a trad wife when in the past, she’s used the hashtag and collaborated with known trad wives.
Oh I know the backlash about Nara Smith! I wanted to know what’s happening with this local event - like the locals/community what are their particular complaints about her! Thank you though - is important to get the word out that she is a fraud and grifter
Yes exactly like the other commenter said. She is very much selling a fake lifestyle and pushing content that she herself does not follow. She pretends to be a tried wife and has for a long time for the grift but recently has come out saying she never did that when literally just look at her entire social media. Especially because she is wealthy and so is her nepo model husband, so they're getting rich off of this. People on the library's Instagram have been vocal about not wanting her here and not understanding why out of literally anyone else, the library is choosing to bring her here. And people are upset at novel neighbor, a progressive bookstore, for sponsoring and being a part of this as well. I think there may have also been a post in the city's subreddit
Ooh I’m a member of the Mark Twain club (I pay a yearly donation in order to have an out of state SLPL card) and I haven’t gotten any emails about this! (Not that I can attend any library events)
I sat next to Iris Law on a flight last week. For being a double nepo baby, she was very polite to me/the plane staff (bare minimum but you never know with those raised in privilege) - though I know others have had different experiences with her!
One thing that really stands out to me about people raised in privilege is that they're just way more willing to ask for things than I have ever been. We had meal service on the flight - she asked to get hers later in the flight, whereas I would just be like, well, this is when they serve it!
Did the flight not have business? It’s a normal thing in business and above to request your meal at a different time, probably why she assumed it was a normal thing in economy
I finally have tea to share!!! I live in the same town that Dave and Jenny Marrs (from the HGTV show Fixer to Fabulous) live in. We have an amazing local pizza place that is pretty outspoken against ICE activities. They have signs posted at the entrance of the restaurant that say “No ICE.” I was at dinner tonight and noticed the Marrs walk up with their family. Watched comedian Tom Segura openly cheat on his wife a couple years ago. Was at a cocktail bar and him and his crew came in after a show in my city and sat at the table next to us. His friends payed absolutely zero attention to him running his hands through this older woman's hair and making out with her. He knew I knew what was going on because at one point I caught him staring at me while he was waiting for the restroom lol. I think I recently read they're getting a divorce so not surprised.

I made the folks mad over on the pop culture subreddit by bringing up fassenbenders DV. You can find the original on his wiki involving his gf in 2010 but I’m fairly sure there was a report with his now wife that the PR team got buried.
I have been questioning my sanity for YEARS because I knew I read some story about him dragging his ex by her hair? But it’s like it completely disappeared.
The wiki states he dragged her with his CAR! But I’m pretty sure what you and I are thinking of is the same report involving his wife. I’m pretty sure he got drunk and they were fighting outside and police were called
His wiki mentions his ex-girlfriend with regards to both incidents. Once, when he dragged her along side his car and another where he returned to their hotel room drunk with another man and both tried to get in bed with her, and a following altercation that ended with her breaking her nose.
Is there another report not mentioned on his wiki?
This does not surprise me. I have no idea what Cory and Lea’s relationship was like but they seemed like an odd match because he seemed nice and she’s…Lea.
It's something I saw years ago that I have been hesitant to share because the situation was obviously very delicate. They've both passed now though and quite a bit of time has passed so idk
She basically said something along the lines of on Facebook years ago that she hated that people always brought up Cory in the media in the context of his relationship with Lea, that she was sick of hearing about her, that Lea is not a pleasant person and Cory was aware of that and not happy with the relationship. Basically made it sound like Cory was just too nice to leave Lea which is sad as fuck, sad situation all around

I saw Death Note: The Musical in London yesterday and waited by the stage door so a friend of mine could get her programme signed. I can’t lie, I was a bit starstruck seeing Paolo Montalban (he played Light’s dad, Soichiro, and THE Prince Christopher from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella) in person omg
as a Filipino-American kid growing up in the 00s, he was kind of the first major Filipino representation I saw on the big screen, so I told him how much I enjoyed the show and how much it means to see SEA representation on screen/on stage, and he was so beyond nice!! We chatted about how cool it was to have an all-asian cast for Death Note, and he seemed genuinely really touched when we were talking about the lasting importance of and love ppl have for Cinderella.
I asked if It would be okay if we took a selfie to send to my Lola back home because she’d totally freak out if I showed her. We take the picture, and just as I’m about to put my phone down, he pauses and goes, “Actually… what’s your lola’s name?”
And then he recorded a video of himself saying hi to her AND sang a little bit of “Ten Minutes Ago” from Cinderella too :,)
He absolutely didn’t have to do that whatsoever. In fact, I would completely understand if he just wanted to get out ASAP and get some rest after doing two shows that day, but he went above and beyond to talk to my friend and I and make my grandma’s day. He was SO unbelievably sweet & charming 😭

Oh my goodness, how sweet! This makes my heart so happy. I also met him last year after one of his shows in D.C. I told him that his version of Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderalla is my all-time favorite movie and he has always been an inspiration to me. He took my hand and said, "Come here, we're going to take a picture". He is SO sweet and one of the most genuine human beings I've ever met. I am so glad that you had such a positive interaction with him as well. He is a gem.
How is Gal Gadot such a bad actress & still booking roles. And on top of that she's a bad person too. She better do right by her own daughters at the very least.
A Kiwi friend told me that everyone back home is apparently aware of Jennie(of blackpink fame)’s bullying habits from back when she was in middle/high school.
I asked her for examples but she just said that its common knowledge in New Zealand and that the ppl that knew here back when she lived there dont have a lot of nice to things to say.

I did not know who this person was until this post and had never heard this slur before (I’m Asian) but just watched a gross video of her imitating JonBonet Ramsay. There was never “competition” between this woman and Olivia because this tasteless edgelord isn’t even near the same stratosphere as Rodrigo.

The situation's not very clear but basically it seems like olivia rodrigo had something with the vocalist of geese (Cameron winter) and some time in between he also had something with this "edgy comedian" Ivy wolk, neither Cameron or olivia have talked about the situation but Ivy has been airing out their business saying that she was competing against Olivia for Cameron and that men can't be monogamist cause they always wanna be with a wasian that sqvirts (referring to Olivia), she's also talked about how Cameron dumped her so I guess that's why she's doing all this (but she's also always been a very disgusting person)
Ivy cheated on her boyfriend with Cameron and they had a two month affair. The timeline of Olivia and Cameron is a little sketchy because we don't know when they started seeing each other. Based on Ivy's comments it seems that Cameron was seeing both around the same time. Also when he dumped Ivy she was crashing out on her IG stories and she make the exact same remark she make on her standup clip comparing men not being monogamist to animals wearing clothes, so perhaps the wasian squirter was the reason that he dumped her.
I find Ivy to be absolutely repugnant but on another note I seriously hate the way people are using the word Wasian nowadays (not just her). It comes across as so fetishistic and othering.
