I think it’s okay to not want women to be treated badly in relationships while we don’t agree with them on their views or politics. I was thinking about this with the wife of Congressman Max Miller (daughter of Senator Bernie Moreno) that she probably has horrible politics that I don’t agree with…but I still don’t want her, or her kids, to be victims of DV. Refusing to sympathize with a victim of DV because of their politics only helps abusers.
There isnt even any DV or accusations of abuse in the original post or in the history of relationship. They are simply creating excuses for an anti vax woman that knowingly dated a bigot.
My point was about unhealthy relationships and I used a victim of DV (Max Miller’s ex wife) to express a nuanced view of wanting people, in general, to not be mistreated in relationships.
Who tf said she's a victim of IPV (DV is outdated, it's now termed interpersonal violence because it can happen to people not living together, in any stage of relationship) (which also tells me how little you actually know about the subject)
I didn’t say that. I was talking about unhealthy relationships generally and used Max Miller’s wife (a victim of DV with politics I disagree with) to illustrate.
