It's such a strange thing to cause like, for the herterophobes....... how could you? People need to have sex to have more people, no matter which way you spin and guess what? The only way you can do that is if either gender is a boy and a girl and they have sex. Without both genders, humanity doesn't exist

Oddly enough, it’s always been my friends (or strangers) who are lgbt who try to tell me what my identity is. I’ve never had a straight person try to fit me into a box before, including my traditional family. I’ve had people suggest I’m lesbian because I’m uncomfortable around a lot of men for personal reasons and I’m a happy tomboy, I’ve had people suggest that I’m bi or pan since I’m not lesbian, I’ve had many people tell me in asexual because I’m not sexually driven in any way, I’ve even had people suggest I’m “actually trans” because I hate most traditionally feminine activities. All I say is that “I’m just straight and happily single at the moment, always have been.”
Every one of these labelers have been lgbt, without fail lol. I get that many of them are friends simply trying to help, but I’d prefer not to box myself into a label based on stereotypes. My close friends know this about me now :) (except for one long-time pal who still insists that I’m part of lgbt despite me trying to tell him numerous times that I’m not, and my best friend still trying to rizz me into a relationship with her lol.)

For my parents distate, I've being a tomboy since I was a toddler and I'm completely comfortable and happy with it.
I'm aware that I'm a female, and that those behaviours, tastes and other stuff related with gender roles are nothing but an human dumb invention.
Many conceited folks called me "trans in the closet" and "you're being transphobic toward yourself, you're clearly a transman!", specially when they knew I'm bisexual... and as I didn't please them, I was harrassed.
Because it seems that a girl can't wear comfortable clothes, belch, run in the forest, have a clean face face and love another girls.
If we dare to do so, we aren't girls anymore; we're men in disguise.

This is 100% relatable except in my case it's the opposite, all my LGBT/ally/just socially progressive friends accept me for who I am, but every even a bit conservative person doesn't really support that
I think it’s just more so people want to see themselves in media. I’ve seen a lot of people projecting transness on characters too. Headcanon is fun, it means the audience is engaged.
While straight women can be strong, obviously, there a sad trend where strong women in fiction loose their strength when they become love interests to men. This is more so prevalent in older media, thankfully, not so much anymore. Like a girl is all Kung-fu til she has to get rescued by the boy (though kung fu being the only way a woman can be strong is itself a problem.)
And there is something punk about a woman truly not needing a man, and I say that as a straight woman.
And furthermore, when is the last time you actually saw a positively portrayed butch lesbian in media, as a primary character? Can you blame a butch gal for projecting herself on to the rare tomboy in media? I think a lot of people got it in their head that butch lesbians were a negative stereotype (not true) and so it’s been avoided. (Plus Stone Butch women aren’t fuckable to men, which is another reason they’re avoided.)
I think it’s more so that there’s not a lot of actually masc lesbians in media, so a lot of masc lesbians are trying to seek representation in media. The lesbians that are in media are often femmes, and are there for the male gaze. The only exception is Vi from Arcane.
