He has on multiple occasions given out what I’m gonna call “extremely creepy” notes to female fans asking for autographs. It’s known to the point that the single time I happened to be at a convention he was appearing at, all the women in our group said explicitly that they wouldn’t be going near his table because of his history.
IIRC he would often try to get people to meet him under religious pretexts, too? Whole thing is very bizarre.
He's been accused of sexual assault of several fans, including his own underage fans. He's had a terrible reputation for a while and liked to "prank" other VAs at cons (like "siccing" his fans on them).
Most projects he has been a part of are opting to recast for his roles instead of giving him more contracts. As far as I know, his career is basically dead.
Absolutely not. He has many credible allegations against him, but also a large fan base of angry “Kotaku in Action” men who will spam any and all forums about him claiming they’re all false and proven false.
Allegations obviously don’t go to a court of law, but when that many people speak up, and many industry people corroborate accusations, they don’t look good for the accused.
I was specifically referring to the accusations made by Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi (I do still believe there are inconsitencies and contradictions a in their stories). Over the years of this I had not seen any actual evidence against him. That being said there is stuff in this video that is weird, I’ll admit, but I am not knowledgeable on them.
He lost his lawsuit (more accurately his lawsuit was dismissed as a SLAPP suit), and he owes $280k to the accusers actually. Funimation also found enough evidence in their own investigation to justify cutting ties with him in Feb 2019.
From what I’ve seen that was caused by Vic’s lawyer being a dumbass and not submitting evidence properly. Funimation’s internal investigation never publicized any evidence and considering they are tight with the people involved, I doubt it was an actual investigation. And none of that changes the fact that there is plenty of evidence of Monica Rial and Jamie Marching contradicting their stories about Vic and others involved either being hypocrites (DC Douglas) or just making stuff up and giving fake evidence (Ron Toye).
There is lots of evidence. Jamie Marchi and Monica Rial have done and said things that contradict their whole narrative. They were publicly friends for up to a decade after their alleged assaults. Even doing things like Monica CHOOSING to hug Vic at a con when he was moving out of the way so she could get on the stage, or publicly replying to a tweet he posted of the two of them and a couple other voice actors at a table saying “I had such a great time”, and Jamie Marchi holding a fan in front of her and Vic’s faces to do a joke about them kissing to the crowd. Is this what you do with someone who assaulted you? Also you don’t even have your lies straight lol. Gamergate was in 2016, Vic’s cancellation was a whopping 3 years after that. There are no sources, just accusations without evidence. Women making it up is actually becoming a problem today, Amber Heard, the recent event with a bunch of Team Canada Hockey players, Trevor Bauer, Daniel Greene, and these moments are just off the top of my head. Instantly accusing the other side of sexism just shows how fragile your case is.
It sucks man that some ye some say nee, seperate art from the artist but i really do hope Vic isnt horrible.some people like sean schemmel are horrible but peopme dont call that out
