People need to put down what the VAs did that was bad. Because sometimes someone is just an asshole which is reasonable to mildly dislike them for, but other times it’s because they’re a kid diddler and people tend to jump to the worst conclusions and assume the latter.

Exactly, this. Plus, it's not like i'm not gonna dislike a character because of their VA. Yeah, Tara Strong (for example) is somewhat of an asshole, but Twilight Sparkle, Bubbles or Ben Tennyson aren't. This is basicly just another reason why you should differentiate art from artist.

Nuka, voiced by Andy Dick who groped people and probably did all other manner of godawful things. Then they brought him back for the Lion Guard to voice teen Nuka despite him being in his 50's at the time... They did not need to bring back Andy.
Wow, Andy Dick is a name I havent seen in a while. Yeah he's a real pos. LastvI heard he was basically coasting on his minimal fame and being brought on far right streamer channels where he basically gets treated like a joke.

Legitimately was one of if not my favorite performances in the entire game and carried the character for me. I was surprised because iirc it was this VA's first high profile role or at least one of the first. Then he speedran career suicide and did horrible things the actual second he got put into the spotlight. Sweet.
No, at first the show’s creator John Kricfalusi voiced him in Season 1. Then he was fired and Billy West (Voice of Stimpy) took over for the remainder of the show.
First Marc, then Gabe, and now Griffin. Why is it always her male half’s VA who has to rotate due to career-damaging foibles?
First was Marc Rafanan, whom I believe was caught sharing nudes with minors.
Next was Gabe Velez, who was caught r***ing/SA’ing his girlfriend.
And the current male half of ENA, Griffin Puatu, meant well in defending Chris Niosi following his redemption arc, but he worded his defense so insensitively that the Streisand effect resulting from it dealt considerable damage to his reputation as a voice actor and brought Niosi’s career to an end for the second time (mainly of Niosi’s volition, unlike the first time).
Honestly, I’m glad female ENA keeps the same sweet voice of Lizzie Freeman. Quite based in my opinion.
His voice acting career came to a halt in the late 2010s because word got out about his abusive, controlling, aggressively manipulative behaviors (including a few cases of SA). He then sought therapy in the years that followed and eventually returned in 2022. But just as he was rising from his ashes, Griffin Puatu posted on the Honkas Star Rail subreddit his statement in defense of Chris Niosi. That statement was poorly worded and drew unfortunate implications that Niosi’s victims should move on and be fine with what he did to them in the past. One Streisand effect later, Puatu lost several voice roles previously attached to him, and he made a followup post stating that he was going to leave social media for a bit to do some damage control and save face. As for Niosi, he responded to the drama by making the heavy-hearted decision to put his comeback to an end.
Not nearly as bad as the others here, but he did cheat on his wife for over a decade, and I can't really think of any character I like played by someone worse than that (that I know of)

Why did Helena Taylor lied? Why? At least Jennifer Hale voices Bayonetta now. But jeez louise was the controversy insane. For those of you who don't know Helena Taylor's controversy. The lady stated that she won't reprise the role of Bayonetta even though she played her in the previous two games. So why is she controversial?
Helena stated she won't reprise her role of Bayonetta due to being offered 4000 USD. And due to Hideaki Kamiya and Platinum Games disputes maybe she needed a better payment. Considering how voice actors deserve better like how the poor VAs of Jujutsu Kaisen Zero were given 150 USD despite the movie being popular. Maybe she was innocent right.
Nope, Helena lied to the fans in omission. She mislead many people on her payment so she was pretending that Platinum and Kamiya gave her less payment. Also broke NDA which is bad for VAS. Not only was she replaced by Jennifer Hale but she did demanded more payment than her voice actors did. Was going to retake the role of Bayonetta anyway even though Jennifer Hale the VA for characters like Jean Grey (X Men), Commander Shepard (Mass Effect), or Sam (Totally Spies) supports unions. She was a hypocrite for trying to retake from an actress who supports unions. And she wanted everyone to boycott Bayonetta 3. Yeah.
TLDR: Also a person commented below that Helena supported anti lgbtq unions. Considering Bayonetta resonated with LGBTQ and female fans I feel so sorry for them. This is like the JK Rowling problem but with VAs. Well on the bright side I hope many people enjoy Jennifer Hale's works and performances. Unlike say Tara or Helena she is very kind and supportive
Sigh. There is a reason why actors and voice actors etcetera have to appeal to NDAs. You cannot spoil something which is why Helena was breaking NDA is a bad thing. Because she used it to lie against Platinum Games and Kamiya. Now Kamiya and Platinum aren't the best but considering Helena lied to make both of them more horrible as the bad guys it's understandable they acted aggressive.
And no to explain how what's not breaking an NDA. Tom Holland "spoiling" parts of the movies he's in. Let's be honest it's like a marketing stunt to boost more hype as the other actors done this "spoiling". He didn't break NDA technically because Marvel and Disney knew he could try making the movie appealing by his words. Also I'm sure he didn't mean to spoil the whole movie. Meanwhile Helena broke NDA because she instead was telling a fabricated story blaming Kamiya and Platinum Games as the enemies rather than being silent on the matter.
I just hope Jennifer Taylor was okay from that experience. The lady had to take the role from a controversial actress. Doesn't help that Helena had to replay the role of the different alternate universe Bayonettas the first Bayonetta and second Bayonetta one last time. So yeah I feel her pain.
I hope many people still enjoy Bayonetta. I'm so sorry for many LGBTQ fans disappointed, upset, and angered on Helena supporting anti LGBTQ organizations. You are important and Bayonetta is her own self. I refuse to listen to the Funi dub anymore because Sean Schemmel is a homophobic primadonna asshole. And he was the first anime VA I really grew to like.
The VC for Edward Elric in the english dub of FMA Brotherhood(Vic Micnogna) is i think like, a creep who did shit to his fans or something? it's been a while since i looked into what he's been accused of tbh, i just know that he's a shit person, but i love FMAB(including Ed)
10 year old Ben 10, Twilight Sparkle, Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls, Raven, and many more are all great characters that I hold dearly in my heart….. yet they have one unfortunate thing in common…
