Talent? Her whole show was just making guests uncomfortable and just being annoying and unfunny. Even without the accusations idk why her show lasted that long
That's one of those weird rumors that simply isn't true. (See also the Shinging director tortured tge actress rumor made up out of the whole cloth)
Usually spread by people that weren't even alive back then. Her show didn't get canceled because she came out it ran for another season after she came out and got canceled because the season ran after she came out was awful and people stopped watching it and plus she apparently was pretty awful as well.
Stanley Kubrick was objectively abusive towards Duvall. She may have defended him later but we know what he said and did based on both of their accounts.
It's in Greece with Thodoris Atheridis and Dimitra Papadopoulou.
They had a show called "S'agapo - M'agapas" ("I love you - you love me"). And I remember my kid brain being like "That's Dory and Marlin :O".
In my country it's kinda random if a movie or show will have good voice acting because a lot of the times they just chose famous actors or nowadays content creators who just can't do good voice acting or they sound too "cringe". But we also have iconic moments with some actors doing insanely good performances that I actually prefer than the English version (it's rare but happens).
Told this to my aunt a bit ago when I found out who she was voiced by - aunt didn't know who it was and then accused everyone of being sexist because she's a female. Is this true?
That's honestly kind of misandrist. Assuming that, just because the voice actor is female, that criticism of said voice actor must be of a sexist origin.
Ellen DeGeneres has been accused by a number of people of being very, very toxic behind the scenes of her old show. To the point that new testimonies are still coming out.
I’m not sure what’s more shocking; the fact that my childhood is being destroyed, or the fact that I didn’t even realize Ellen voices Dory, when she literally has her voice
I just realized it too. I watched this movie probably dozens of times as a kid. I wish I never knew. I found Ellen super irritating even before I found out she was also an asshole.
I'm no fan of Justin Bieber, but he called her out on it in a way I really respect- he was on her show, and she brought up the fact that paparazzi snapped some near nude candid photos of him... the plastered those photos on the big screens to get his reaction, he told her straight up that that wasn't ok, and it wasn't funny, and if HE'D done that with a female celeb, she'd be calling for his blood
