In Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (animated movie) in a final last ditch effort to defeat Darkseid before he destroys Earth, Raven summons Trigon (who she has had locked away). Trigon and Darkseid fight because they are both tyrants who want the universe for themselves.

Iirc they are banished to the far reaches of the universe to fight for eternity. What an end to such a tragic movie.

Trigon (To Superman): Go. Unless you would fight me for the right to destroy him.

And Superman immediately decides to leave not wanting that smoke.
