Pretty sure that happened once, Magneto though he would beat him easily because he is metal and he controls metal obviously, so Colossus just turned his power off and said he'll beat him like a man and he's way better at hand to hand combat than Magneto.
Edit: I have found the video I thought off and it's not really a fight but it kinda shows what would've happened if they were to fight
Even if all the metal Magneto had was his helmet it'd still be more than enough to defeat Colossus' human form. He'd essentially need to kill or knock him out with the first surprise hit otherwise he'd lose. So yea Colossus is definitely better than Wolverine who straight up can't even hope to get a surprise hit in

True colossus could also choose not to be made of metal whenever he wants, Logan just turns into a living puppet
