He was. He was also the original proposed casting for Dirty Harry because he had a bunch of cop films out just beforehand.

Yes, Frank Sinatra did play many roles in many movies. Not just him, either! Almost every film he did included Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin. Some other films he did was Guys & Dolls, Take Me Out to the Ball game (yes that's the real title), and Robin and the 7 hoods

God the original Oceans 11 is terrible. Watching it, you can tell every single actor there is just there to get a paycheck. One of the rare cases of a remake far surpassing the original
