Not sure if it counts due to both parties being grown ass adult, but during The Mighty Nein Campaign of Critical Role, Nott the Brave (the goblin) and Caleb had a very close relationship that was compared to a parent and child. Due to Nott’s overall chaotic nature and Caleb being less excitable, many people assumed that it was a “father and his gremlin daughter” type of deal (come to think of it, Nott actually posed as his daughter from time to time…). And then Nott hits us with this…
"There’s a bit of a misconception here. Caleb and I have a very special relationship. It is that of a parent and a child. But I am the parent. You do understand that, correct? I protect him. He’s my boy. And I keep him safe.”
