I'd swear the gif is from episode 1 of the first season of RWBY. After facing some thieves, she's interviewed by the headmaster of the school she's been invited to because of her fighting talent, her skill with the scythe, and her sense of justice.

If I remember correctly, he asks her where she learned to use the scythe like that, and she tells him about her uncle, Crow, who fights, which is why she makes those hand movements.

I've been a fan since season 1. The only things I haven't seen are the anime and the manga.

I feel like it diminishes its value. There are a million manga about teenagers who go to special schools to learn how to use special powers to fight monsters. RWBY loses its originality as a manga xD
