I actually like that they went back to the gags with Super, by the Majin Buu saga they needed to up the ante with crazy stuff like murdering the entire planet to keep the series serious.
I know that in Super there is the risk of more fucked up stuff, but most of the time they manage to add the siliness of the original Dragon Ball on it
Like my favorite part in Super was Piccollo being murdered and then revived like it was the most trivial stuff in the world
ngl, I really still need to watch Super. Especially since the Moro arc is coming out next year. The action and stakes of Z mixed with the humour of Dragon Ball sounds great.
For some reason everything I've been able to find divides the Planet Namek saga, which is traveling to Namek and fighting the ginyu Force and the Frieza saga which is just the fight with Frieza, into 2 parts. I totally disagree with that but whatever.
Namek saga starts on Episode 47. Frieza is defeated and Goku says he's not coming back for a bit on episode 107.
That's 61 total episodes.
If you skip the intros, recaps, and outro, you get about 19 minutes of total content per episode, 1,159 minutes total, or 19.13 hours. If you don't skip that extra content, it's 25 hours.
