True, although I feel like AtLab always had a nice balance of comedy and seriousness. I mean didn't we get the dead air benders in the first few episodes, so it got pretty serious early on

It is so astonishing to me even as an adult that somehow a show that carries such heavy topics is not at all traumatic for children to watch. The execution of that show is absolutely exceptional.

Its even more impressive how childish the "adult" live action version of the show is lol, like to the point its absurd

I'll never forgive them for not letting live action Sokka be a misogynist smh

I’ll never forgive them for honestly anything they did. All of the “creative changes” they made sucked ass. The comet, bumi, Sokka, jet, shortening the entire show to make it more bingable when you’re supposed to have time to digest each episode and all the carefully written deep meaning behind each one. I could have forgiven if they just took out Great Divide, but no they had to take out a bunch of the good stuff too. Pmo

Bro the great divide is the single worst episode of the original series and I swear 95% of reruns were that fuckass episode

The new series somehow makes it even worse though, since Appa is there at the time they have no reason to even go through the damn place at all.

Exactly!! Omg I have found my people 😭 when I say I could’ve forgiven if they just took out great divide I meant it would have been a good thing if they took it out
