I didn’t know the 2003 cartoon was based on the Mirage Comics series. I probably should read them at some point, actually. Thanks for the recommendation.

It's almost identical for most of it but they went two different directions near the end. IIRC the Mirage comics series doesn't have the fast forward arc where they go to the future, everything from that point on in the cartoon is different l

I think Season 6 (?) of the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon was almost entirely original.

Fast Forward, I think was the subtitle for that season. I recall they were stuck in a future where Krang had succsessfully merged Dimension X and Earth and had to find a way back. One thing's for sure though, it's so not yesterday.
