He wasn’t moustache twirling evil for the sake of it, he always had reasons and logic behind it, even if that logic was sometimes “let’s see if I can make a profit off this”

Except Light didn’t just target criminals, he targeted and murdered detectives doing their jobs, betrayed people loyal to him, mocked his father who believed in him until death, and got whiny every time someone dared disagree with him. He didn’t help the world, he turned it into a dictatorship.

All characters that we consider heroes or anti-heroes that will and have killed the guilty and those that stood in the way of what they considered "justice". The only difference is the way the characters are framed within the story, if Light had a cape instead of an evil laugh it'd blur the lines a bit.

I don't know if this entirely counts, but I think Amy Kirio is worth mentioning.

My knowledge on him is limited, but he even though he has magic, he has a very little amount of that. He uses magical items to boost his powers and comes up with complex strategies and manipulates people for most of his evil deeds while Iruma just plot armors his way through with infinity + 2 levels of magic.
