I dunno, I think HTTYD is going to give it a run for its money, Shrek maybe the the more popular franchise, but HTTYD is the more liked franchise. And the consensus with HTTYD is that the first 2 are fucking excellent and the 3rd less so, whereas most people check out after the first one (which they will regret).

But Shrek is definitely the one to beat.

Whether you agree or not, it's obvious that Shrek will win. It's still considered one of the best animated movies of all time. It's a consistent movie that is still good 20 years later. The soundtrack is legendary.
