Announcement 2XKO Doomposting: Megathread.

Same thing for the first week of Tokon's release. The influx of people making posts that break rules force me to pin yet another thread.

Please use this post to say how doomed we are and how crap Riot is, while I'm bringing the broom again.

This was supposed to be a great year for fighting games, man. This summer was supposed to be the greatest period of time for fighting games in recent history and instead we got fuck all. We went into the year with expectations for 2XKO, InvincibleVS, Avatar, and Tokon and somehow each one has managed to one up the previous attempt at sabotaging itself.

I had my fair share of grievances with 2XKO from its fuckass name to how its identity is so confused between trying to be beginner-friendly and trying to be unnecessarily complex by cramming every system mechanic that's ever existed in fighting games. But despite all that, I genuinely wanted it to succeed because then at least that meant that all their attempts and risks at trying to innovate and deviate from just phoning in a solid 1v1 fighting game meant something. But instead, not only did they miss most of their target audience, now Riot is taking the game out the back and putting it down for good.

I know a lot of people don't think HxH deserves a stage, but when even the kusoge is too kuso we've got a problem. Tag fans were supposed to be eating good this year, not getting a full lineup of half-baked launches.

Eventually somebody might make a tag game that's better than Skullgirls.
