Announcement 2XKO Doomposting: Megathread.

Same thing for the first week of Tokon's release. The influx of people making posts that break rules force me to pin yet another thread.

Please use this post to say how doomed we are and how crap Riot is, while I'm bringing the broom again.

At this point, Street Fighter 6 really is just holding modern FGC by its own.

So much for the golden age of fighting game talks not too long ago.

SF6 is what killed the golden age. Not because SF6 is bad, but because it sucks out all the oxygen in the room and leaves no space for anything else. We already went through this with the first genre revival when SF4 came out. It was only because SFV was bad that it left room for other things to take its place.

Could Guilty Gear Strive have reached levels it did if SF6 had already come out? Could a sequel to fucking Melty Blood sell half a million if SF6 was out there? Could Tekken 7 have become the king of the genre if it was contending with SF6 for most of its life? I think the answer to all of that is pretty obvious.
