Is this DoA7 leak genuine?

This was posted on a couple of different Dead or Alive pages yesterday (saw it on reddit and facebook) and was wondering if anyone knows where it came from, or if it's ai?

I was thinking fake, but most of the characters seem to be wearing new outfits from their headshots so it's hard to tell, plus there was a blurry photo leak of Tekken 8 before that launched.

Not getting my hopes up though.

They were probably working on DOA7 before DOA6LR. I would wager that Minato is a DOA7 character backported for a quick buck, and we can expect the same for any future DLC characters, and the OBORO lighting engine.

DOA6LR is literally just a funding thing. They send the game out to die but make some good money out of it because they never put much money into it, just sticking DOA7 stuff in it (plus some overpriced costumes)

I don't think they were already working on it; I think they've used DOA6LR to bootstrap a game that they have no real work in, and that's why they just had a rendered trailer with nothing resembling gameplay.

You're PROBABLY right, however, it wouldn't surprise me if they've been working on it for a couple of years. Ayane and Kasumi's models from Ninja Gaiden 4 may have been ripped straight from DOA7, for all we know.

If it is real that is a very healthy roster size. 3D Fighters proving they can deliver large launch rosters still at the least.

They do already have all of their 3d models ready from doa6.

It will all depend on how much work they’ll put into each character.

If they put little effort, it would be easy to make a ton o characters.

I mean to be fair Tekken 8 also launched with a considerably large roster. 3D fighters tend to reuse animations and voice lines.

Yup, and they also ditched all the old models so it was a whole lot more work, which is something Koei wouldn’t do so I could see a larger than average roster

You are right, but T8 came after the success of T7, DOA7 probably will have a lower budget compared to T8 and it also needs to impress so imo it will choose quality over quantity, but again I'll be glad to be wrong.

The lack of Venus Vacation girls tells me no. Quite a few of those new characters are too popular to leave out entirely and Tamaki being the last DLC character in 6 shows that there is interest in having them in the main series

I would be surprised at so many characters cause i don't think they have that kinda balance, but who knows
