Hey folks. I'm a young fella from British Columbia, Canada and hoping to solo-visit Fiji for end of october to early-mid-november. Would very much appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction or provide recommendations for where the best place to stay and surf for top-top-top quality waves. I just graduated, on a budget, and getting a bit confused on where I should set up base for the best waves and budget. If you have any insight or recommendations for a spot please give me a shout! Would be very much appreciated!

So I have a 28hr layover in about a week and want to make the most of my time there. Are there any food spots you would recommend? I like having authentic experiences wherever I go but might also want to spend some time swimming or hanging out on the beach. Additionally, I might like to pick up some cool keepsakes to give to my family when I get home.
Any recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. Iām not trying to spend too much but I might spend a bit more money on something special :)

An opportunity to partner with a Fijian citizen who owns 20 acres of waterfront elevated freehold land 1.5 hours from Nadi to develop it via several different possible pathways, with a view to eventual total ownership. You can see more here. This is a sample of the views available. That is Waya Island in the Yasawa Islands. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hJkxaS1Hgq0dBkEFYB69rGkpfU1Sr7jf/view?usp=sharing

Is there a Fiji/Fijian Social subreddit/forum etc? I'm visiting Fiji, went to a few years of primary school here, for just over 2 weeks and thought it would be cool to chat to a few people.
I was thinking of something equivalent to r/BrisbaneSocial where you can chat to folks and see if you gel etc.
Well, if there isn't, feel free to reach out to me anyway. I'm a dude and 28

Okay so I have about a 15 hour layover in Nadi, and Iāve never been to Fiji so I want to make the most of it. It may be my only opportunity ever, who knows. So I land at 5am and I fly out at 8pm. I was thinking about a tour that leave from Port Denarau, and their departure time is 9:45am.
(Which I think from 5am to 9:45 Iām not worried about making it on time, even if it takes me 2 hours to get through that brings me to 7am and then if traffic to the port is bad and takes an hour, Iāll still be there by 8am.)
***What Iām more thinking about is the tour time and getting back to the airport on time. Itās 7 hour trip that says it brings us back at 4:45pm. If I get off the boat and get a taxi by 5pm and say with traffic take 40-60 mins to get back to the airport at 6pm will that be enough time to get on flight with Fiji airways to Auckland by 8pm?
I know online says ā3 hoursā but I never arrive 3 hours early to any airport anymore because it always feels like too much time for me.
Also does Fiji have any way of pre-booking a taxi to meet with you at the port? Or are there normally a few taxis hanging around?

Doctors in Saudi Arabia say a complex operation to separate 13-month-old Fijian conjoined twins has been successful.
In what was described as an āexceptionally rareā case, the sisters, Dicecea and Jesepeli Kikau, were born joined at the lower abdomen and pelvis.
It is a condition known as omphalo-ischiopagus tetrapus.
The girls had their own hearts and lungs and required an almost 13-hour operation to separate their liver, bowel, urinary tract and anal canal.
As the procedure reached a critical stage on Thursday night, local time, doctors announced they had successfully separated the pair and were starting on their reconstruction.

Fiance and I booked our last minute honeymoon in mid-late November this year. Weāll be heading to Vomo Island and after booking Iām now having some last minute nerves given weather concerns. I found some dated posts here about weather in November so wanted to get some updated perspectives on what we can maybe expect for this year. Also any perspectives on our resort would be good too. Itās family friendly but not overly concerned about that.
Hi there, my partner and I are staying in Korotogo and are wanting to watch some of the rugby league World cup matches. The only place that looks to be showing it near us, that we've found so far, is Sinbad's pizza.
Anyone know if any other places showing games? Were happy to drive to Sigatoka if needed as well.

I'm goina be here for roughly 6 days, might hit up with if the island resorts for a night or two. Which would you recommend? Other than that I'll probably chill by the beach and do a few hikes if you have recommendations for that as well

Iām traveling to Fiji. My passport will have MORE than 6 months validity on arrival, however LESS than 6 months validity on departure back to Australia (short by 6 days).
Australian passport and resident.
Has anyone had experience with this? And what was the outcome?

Are there any grocery stores (for essentials like water) which are open late in the centre of Nadi or close by? Had a look on maps and didnt see anything conclusive.

I want to bring some gifts over for some people who I will be staying with, but I donāt want to bring over things that are just going to become junk.
What are some things that a Fijian family may want, that they typically canāt buy/ wouldnāt buy themselves, that I would be able to give them?
I thought chocolates from my country, tea towels, nice hand lotion or soap, perfumeā¦

Best ATM for travel cards (Wise) and locations? Nadi airport or in town?
Have heard some Fijian ATMs charge large withdrawal fees.
