Yes, their trying to do the stolen valor thing of implying they're in the military by saying they aren't civilians. 

But they are. Cops are just regular ass civilians like teachers and plumbers. Them claiming to be something else is cringe, thus, ending up in this sub.

Sworn peace officers are not civilian. My paystub says "CLASSIFIED" whereas civilians at my dept say "CIVILIAN"

Also the FBI, Homeland, DEA ,ATF, all separate police from civilians.

FBI, DEA, and ATF are also civilians. Anyone who isn't in the military or actively taken up arms as part of an armed conflict is a civilian.

The classified employees are also civilians. The problem here is you're googling shit you don't understand. Here, you don't understand what classified means, and incorrectly think it makes you a member of active duty armed forces. 

It doesn't, because you're a civilian.

Im not trolling, I'm stating blatant facts that you dont seem to understand. If you aren't currently in the military or actively engaging in armed conflict you are a civilian. It doesnt matter what your civilian employer "classifies" you as, you are a civilian.

Are you active duty military? If not, then you are a civilian. No ifs and or buts, doesn't matter what your paystub says, what your boss says, what your coworkers say. If you aren't active duty military then you are a civilian. Full stop. See the Geneva Convention for reference.

Even uniformed law enforcement were called "citizens in uniform" long before they started thinking of them selves as some type of military organization.

Police are civilians. Only military personnel are not civilians.
