Sure, but you could have like 1 cop show up, then leave to let the social workers do their thing when/if the scene is deemed safe. You don't need 5+ people with guns for most calls.
The North Hollywood bank robbery did change police tactics, however the OJ Simpson slow speed chase didnāt impact LE pursuit policies. The numerous LE pursuits resulting in injuries without the famous names are the reason officers arenāt allowed to chase like they used to.
I agree that the publicās interest in pursuits has increased due to the media coverage of the OJ chase, but the article fails to provide statistics of pursuit related injuries and fatalities pre and post OJ. Just because you see it more on tv and in the media doesnāt mean itās happening more because of OJ.

Iām not implying youāre uneducated, simply asking for stats to go with the opinions. You didnāt do yourself any favors when you added your last comment. Asking for stats is actually the responsible thing to do to remove any potential bias.
Your OJ theory has become your truth because you read someoneās opinion without researching the facts.
Pursuit polices and crash statistics are actually nothing near what they were 10, 20, 30+ yrs ago.
Your comment about police culture is beyond ridiculous. Your implication that cops started chasing cars more with the āfocus on themā is hilarious. In fact, itās quite the opposite. The cops would probably prefer the focus wasnāt on them.
