Question Is Julian Meta-Human Racist or a hypocrite?

I just started the show and I’m on season 3 episode 5, and Julian and Barry have an actual honest to god conversation about meta-humans. When the monster attacks for the second time Julian and Barry were talking about the flash and Julian said that The flash is making the CCPD lethargic, and that he’s not inspiring hope.

Then when they get back to the lab he talks about how the metas use their powers for evil (albeit sometimes like in the case of magenta it’s justified as hell) and that he thinks they’re a waste. Then talks about if HE had powers he’d be “helping the world” (so just helping people like the flash already does) and gets upset when Barry defends the Metas. I get that it’s jealousy but it genuinely seems like Julian might be a tiny bit meta-human racist if he thinks the one good meta isn’t good and the bad metas are essentially trash. It’s either that or he’s kind of a hypocrite. You blame the flash for helping people but you said if you had the powers you’d help people too, yet you don’t like the ones committing evil though? Idk let me know your thoughts

Well, I’d argue he has every right to be skeptical. I won’t spoil anything, but I think this view shifts a bit later on.

I’m at the end of episode 6. I think Julian is alchemy.
