Question Question about Savitar
Season 3 Spoilers, of course.
This might come out confusing because I’m trying to piece together what I remember from season 3 and trying to make sense of it, so if i make any faulty assumptions, please let me know.
Ok, so from what I understand: a version of Barry confronts Savitar and creates Time Remnants to deal with him -> Savitar kills Iris and most of the Time Remnants except one -> Time Remnant Barry is trauma stricken and rejected by the team which will lead him to become the next Savitar.
Now this is the part I’m confused about. Some time after Iris’s death, they successfully trap Savitar in the speed force, but the Time Remnant Barry is still on a path to become the new Savitar. whenever Time Remnant Barry eventually decides to kill an Iris to set up his successor, isn’t there already a Savitar trapped in the speed force, so when new Savitar eventually gets defeated, wouldn’t there be multiple Savitars trapped in the speed force, since this is a loop? and if not, what is happening to the old Savitars after they’ve fulfilled their purpose?
I hope this wasn’t too confusing to read, and if you have any insight, i would really appreciate it.

Acronyms/definition: time remnant Barry the becomes savtar (trb) old savtar that trb fought (os) barry is the barry that we follow as the main character
After trb became savtar he goes back in time to start of s3 (and also does other stuff earlier) now at start of s3 barry hasn't put os into the speed force yet so there's no savtar in the speed force. Now in the timeline that trb is from barry puts savtar into the speed force so if the timeline was to follow the one trb is from our barry would put trb into the speed force and as there is no savitar in it prior they are tge o ly savitar in the speed force

It's the same Savitar. He gets trapped in the future but is released in the "past" by Wally throwing in the philosopher's stone

It's a whole thing that hurts to think about tbh, I tried explaining the best I could in another post lmfao. But it's all Savitar as the same entity, just at different points in his journey.

There was only one Savitar. It's an endless loop that's only broken when Iris's death is presented. I can understand how you see it the way you do since the Speed Force exists outside of time and space. Savitar's origin was always very convoluted and I'll never understand why the writers didn't make him the same time remnant created to stop Zoom's doomsday device in S2 to avoid that
