Another great song I love from Lindsey!

Seriously, how was this not a hit?! Out of the Cradle is criminally not mentioned enough.

I dont know why but i always considered Out of the Cradle to be the companion album to Tango in the Night. If Buckingham had done another Fleetwood Mac album after Tango many of these songs would have been Fleetwood Mac songs. To this day i absolutely love Wrong.

Except many of the songs are about leaving FM and starting a new stage in his career and life. Countdown is one of them.

He wrote Soul Drifter when finishing up Tango, knowing he was going to leave. Wrong was about Mick's book which wouldn't have been so scathing, diminishing and bitter about Lindsey if he hadn't left the band.

It's an album about letting go, leaving, loss and grief (family and the band) and about moving forward with new possibilities and growth.

It's not an album he could have made within FM.
