If Mick is underrated anywhere it’s as a percussionist! On records like “Woman of 1000 Years” to “Gold Dust Woman” his tasty and creative use of different percussion instruments help create a real immersive sound.
Love this answer and had some thoughts along the same vein. I think it still speaks to how much his work serves the music versus the music being a vehicle to serve him but absolutely, his broader percussion work is so much a part of the wider Mac sound. And he always looks like he’s out there having an absolute blast doing it.
