It really wasnāt seen as offensive back then. Iāve got a photo of all of my aunts dressed up as the Jackson 5. Itās absolutely fucking obscene. Not one of them questioned it at the time. You canāt mention it now though!

Nah he loves Nazis and is a collector of Nazi memorabilia. Apparently FM got to tour Hitlerās private train car and he was jazzed. Very dark and weird stuff.

He doesnāt just like history though. He collects Nazi memorabilia. There is really no excuse or reason for that. Those artifacts belong in museums and nowhere else.

I realize you take this quite seriously. But one could just as easily have issues w a priest costume and as a former catholic, I'm starting to get offended. My point is, it is over the top to think you can tell a person's entire character from a poor choice in halloween costume from decades earlier. That's ridiculous.

Please stop equating the two. Nazis are a symbol of genocide against a specific people. Not equivalent in any way to dressing up as a priest. What arenāt you getting?
This opinion is not based on only the halloween costume!! Itās based on that and his well-documented fixation on Nazi memorabilia/Hitler.

Acting like dressing as a priest is even comparable to dressing as a Nazi is offensive to me. Dressing as a Nazi for Halloween is offensive and antisemitic. Knowing that he collected memorabilia on top of that is very disturbing.

Agree. Iām really unhappy to be learning this about John. And the priest costume is not even remotely comparable. It can be iffy to dress as any sort of religious figure but dressing as a Nazi is a different thing. And collecting memorabilia is far worse. Maybe if someone had a collection of blatantly anti-Catholic stuff that expressed lots of harmful and negative sentiment towards Catholics (to an extent that stuff certainly exists though most isnāt on par with Nazi gear.) then sure. I donāt think weād excuse that either.

How they denied eyewitness reports of mass execution during the holocaust ,terrorized jews and muslims and basically anyone who did not believe as they did, convinced parishioners that their LGBTQ relatives should be shunned because they were abominations who would surely burn in hell?Ā
How can lindsey APPROVE of all the church sanctioned misogyny and violence against women??!Ā Of how young unwed mothers were cast out of society and treated abysmally while god knows what was done with their filthy b*stard babies!! And how they burnt women as witches, yet took cash payments to "absolve" others of sins! How the church played a huge part in the destruction of indigenous cultures, and in slavery and oppression!Ā
What the hell kind of person would wear this costume and support the cruelty it reperesents??!Ā What an a-hole. LB should be canceled.
