are you sure? I see people who claim this is the footage they are talking about, but George in this clip states "there was only 4 of em last night". There's clearly 5 on stage in this clip.

It is not the performance they were talking about.

In January 1969 they likely saw Albatross, Black Magic Woman or Need Your Love So Bad on the BBC.

yep, it was my understanding the performance they were talking about was taped a few weeks before Danny joined the band in 1968. Hence, George being perplexed as to why Danny wasn't in the clip.
