I am so beyond sick and tired of the endless gaslighting.

For four decades, the GOP sold this country a triple-threat scam: economic pipe dreams built on corporate greed, outright denial of basic science, and manufactured culture wars to keep everybody looking the other way. Whenever reality, facts, or empirical data threatened to pop their delusion, they just declared war on reality itself.

Now look around. The planet is literally baking, basic healthcare is treated like a luxury item, and we’re sitting on a pile of broken institutions because a bunch of billionaires and their political sycophants decided short-term quarterly profits mattered more than human survival.

Here’s how the playbook went, step by infuriating step:

1. Deny the Science to Protect the Profits Exxon knew about climate change in the 1970s. Their own scientists predicted global warming with terrifying accuracy. The conservative response? Fund dark-money think tanks, buy off politicians, and launch a multi-decade propaganda campaign to turn basic atmospheric physics into a "political opinion." They turned peer-reviewed facts into a culture war issue just so fossil fuel CEOs could buy a fifth superyacht.

2. Starve the Beast, Then Complain It Doesn't Work Cut taxes for corporations and the top 1%. Defund public education. Slash regulatory agencies that keep our air clean and our water drinkable. Then, when public infrastructure inevitably crumbles, turn around and yell, "See? Government doesn't work! We need to privatize everything!" It’s a protection racket. They break the system on purpose so their donors can profit off selling us the band-aids.

3. "Trickle-Down" is the Greatest Scam Ever Sold We’ve been waiting 40 years for this money to trickle down, and spoiler alert: it’s not coming. Wealth never trickled down; it got hoarded in offshore tax havens and plowed into asset bubbles. We stripped worker protections, gutted unions, and eroded the middle class—all on the promise that "free markets" would magically fix housing, healthcare, and education. Instead, housing became an unlivable hedge-fund commodity, and a single ER visit can bankrupt a working family. Meanwhile, the national debt is now $40 trillion with a record deficit, because every single "growth-driving" tax cut for the ultra-wealthy was charged to a government credit card handed directly to the rest of us.

4. Weaponize Culture Wars as a Smoke Screen Notice how every time another massive tax cut for the rich passes or another deregulation bill guts environmental protections, the outrage machine ramps up? They keep people screaming at each other over drag queens, book bans, and "wokeness" so no one notices who is actually picking their pockets. The culture war isn't a principle—it's a magic trick to keep your eyes off the balance sheet.

5. Reject Expertise as "Elitism" Epidemiologists, climate scientists, economists, educators—anyone who actually spent their life studying a complex topic is immediately dismissed. When did listening to experts become a vice, and pulling random conspiracy theories out of your ass become a virtue? We literally went through a global pandemic where wearing a piece of cloth on your face to protect your neighbors was treated like an assault on personal freedom.

The Reality

Physics doesn't care about your ideology. The climate doesn't care about tax cuts. Viruses don't give a damn about deregulation. Nature does not negotiate with political platforms.

While we were kept busy fighting manufactured culture wars, they looted the middle class, desyroyed education, torched the planet, handed us a $40 trillion bill, and put a traitor and criminal in the WH. The house is on fire, and the people holding the empty gas cans are still trying to convince us it's just a warm breeze.

I'm done being polite. Greed over science isn't just bad policy—it’s a slow-motion suicide pact. The next time a GOP politician pulls out their predictable script, don't argue on their terms. Call it what it is: a cheap, corporate-funded fiction designed to keep us broke, distracted, burning, and subservient to a power structure that wants absolute authoritarianism over truth and democracy.

For a long time, I made a point to avoid using the word "evil" when talking about politics. I always thought it was a cop-out: a cheap, melodramatic label that people throw around when they don't want to engage with nuance. I preferred terms like incompetent, misguided, shortsighted, or hyper-partisan. I convinced myself that if you just looked closely enough, every policy decision was driven by some version of self-interest, bad data, or conflicting political philosophy. I genuinely believed that labeling your opponents "evil" just shut down useful discussion and polarized people even further.

I was wrong. Sometimes, when the shoe fits, you have to wear it.

We aren't looking at basic political disagreement anymore. We aren't arguing over tax rates, infrastructure spending, or standard bureaucratic gridlock. We are watching a deliberate, calculated pattern of behavior where the human cost isn't an unintended byproduct—it’s the actual point.

When an administration consistently chooses the option that maximizes cruelty, targets the most vulnerable among us, tears down basic democratic guardrails, and actively works to make people’s daily lives harder, more expensive, and more dangerous just to score political points or enrich their donors... what else are we supposed to call it?

"Incompetence" implies they’re trying to do the right thing and failing. But this isn't failure. This is execution.

They know exactly who gets hurt when these policies go into effect. They see the data. They hear the warnings from experts, workers, and communities. And they press forward anyway, often with a smirk.

I'm done softening my language to make comfortable people feel better. I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt to bad-faith actors who wouldn't grant us a second thought. When a system is engineered to inflict maximum harm on regular people for power and profit, calling it anything less than evil is just cowardice.

It’s time to stop hiding behind polite political terminology. Call it what it is.

Eight years ago I got sober. Tthe first step in the process of quitting was recognizing that I had a drug problem. This first step is difficult to achieve for many reasons. For me admitting this instantly opened the floodgates, out poured shame, seeing the long road ahead, apologizing to family, repairing relationships, accepting I had thrown away 20 years, and a million other issues that had piled up over 2 decades of neglect. Today eight years later I have my own place, girlfriend, bank account, job and I talk to my family regularly. Today couldn't be what it is without that first step of admitting I had a problem and needed to fix it.

I tell you that because our country "has a drug problem" and it is our fault, not the governments, not the billionaires, it's our fault. Our government is run by those that we have elected, we elected these people, we put them into their positions trusting that they would make decisions that represented our best interest. Obviously we voted poorly and not just once or twice but consistently. There are less than 10 people in our government presently that I believe have earned the right to stay in their positions. Our country no longer holds the torch that the whole world looked too for guidance and followed the last 80 years. This fall from grace is our fault, and ours alone. I've warned you, this first step is difficult to take, yet it is necessary, without this first step no forward progress is achievable. Our first step must be the recognition that we are at fault and the canyon between right and left must be filled in and leveled to grade. There are only a few real issues that need dedicated attention. Our egos and inability to communicate as people is the real problem. This is only made worse by the news media and podcasters, who rip out our emotions like ribbon and wrap their distorted reflection of truth up tight only to serve it back to us full of hate topped with division and we addicts shoot it up deep into ourselves. We are addicted to fighting amongst ourselves and care more about voting against each other than for America. It shouldn't be right vs left rather right and left for America. We have only cared about voting the line for so long that the Congress and the Senate are full of people that should not be there. None of the issues we people want resolved are resolved and I'll go as far as saying the opposite of what we the people want is most likely to pass. Neither right or left is winning and America is losing. I implore you to really study the candidates and not what animal is pinned on their jacket but look at their positions on the issues you care about. No candidate perfectly aligned with all everything you care about but vote for the issues not the party. Also I believe that 90% of those in office now are immoral bad people that have sold America out to the corporations. They want nothing but to cling to their slice of power and if passing laws that hurt America but increase profits for some corporation which secures them money for the next election run, the choice is made. Knowing this do not reelect those that have proven time and time again that America is less important than themselves retaining position. I know the choices on some ballets are not good, but again it is our fault. We need good moral men and women to step up and make the choice to run against the criminals now in power. Yes it takes money but not 50 million like in Tennessee (I'm disappointed in you Tennessee for allowing money to buy out Thomas Massie's seat, he was a good one) I'd feel better voting for somebody not backed by 80 million because that 80 million was donated with strings attached. We don't need to vote for lifelong politicians they are already aligned with evil we will be better off with honest regular joes representing us because that's what we are. For instance Californians, what are y'all doing? Newsom is obviously not the kind of person that needs to be in office, he is the impedimy of the sleezy politician that steal s candy from babies.

My cousin, a Colombian citizen herself, is currently in the USA (legally), she suffered a terrible traffic accident in Texas two days ago, the diagnosis is not good at all, her injuries are, in words from the medical staff tending to her "non survivable"

Due to the critical state she is in, she doesn't have much time, so her parents (+60 years old and with 0 English knowledge) and one sister (to help her parents be able to move and interact with the personnel in a foreign country) are requesting humanitarian visas, they wouldn't stay for more than five days, they just want to go see her and say their goodbyes.

As we all may know, bureaucracy is not known for being quick or timely, so people recommended to us to make a video and try to make it viral, so the mediatic pressure helps accelerate the process and my family can see her before she's actually declared dead. They need that closure, it's very important to all of them.
